« Today's News: Our Take
For Grey's Heigl, a White Wedding
Josh Kelley and Katherine Heigl by Michael Caulfield Archive/WireImage.com
On Grey's Anatomy, Katherine Heigl's tormented Izzy lost one fiancé, Denny, and her romances with Alex and George were laced with trouble. So thank goodness for real life! On Sunday, Heigl married musician Josh Kelley in Park City, Utah. T.R. Knight stood up for Heigl as her "bridesman," while other Grey's pals in attendance were Sandra Oh and Kate Walsh (whose own nuptials Heigl attended in September).
Kelly proposed to Heigl in June 2006 by presenting her with a pear-shaped diamond ring by Ryan Ryan. The couple had met in the spring of 2005, when Heigl played Kelley's love interest in the music video for "Only You." Kelley then went on to write "Katie's Song" for the actress.
Heigl, whose breakout film Knocked Up told the story of an unexpected pregnancy, has said she's "super excited" about having a family and suggested she and Kelley might start trying after a year of marriage.
Until they take that next step, Heigl and Kelley will keep busy being the perfect match they are. As T.R. Knight has told TV Guide, "They're wonderful and they're a great couple. And happy. So that's great." — N.F. Mendoza, with reporting by Bekah Wright

And to think it wasn't possible for Gizzie to be more awkward...

Is it just me or are other people getting a tired of hearing about Heigl and TR Knight in the news ">? I still find it a bit strange that they were the only 2 cast members constantly being quoted during Isaiahgate. Then now, when it comes to talking about GA Gizzie is the main focus when this season has had other interesting and non-nauseating storylines .
Either way I wish Heigl and Kelly the best. Happy Holidays to everyone

I admire them both and would much rather hear about them than Britney. It's nice to hear about GA castmates being close enough to be in weddings together, rather than the nastiness from last year.

Count me in as one who is tired of hearing about T.R. Knight and Heigl. She was the loudest voice heard during Isiahgate. Knight seemed ready to just let it go, you know, people are what people are, and people believe what they believe, and even on Ellen DeGeneros' show he seemed satisfied with an apology and accepting that all people were not completely comfortable about honosexuality. Actually, had it not been for her, the fact that Isiah even said anything would never had made the news, but she butted in and there you go, so I wish her nothing but sadness and pain during her short marriage.

Sorry, DeGeneres and homosexuality. Any other errors please forgive.

Wow, MOanbo; What nice sentiments. Ever heard of Karma????
She didn't report this nor repeat it at the GG's so I don't think that can be blamed on her.
Last time I checked, taking up for your friend was part of the job description. If it were your friend, you'd probably do the same thing.
I wish them much love and happiness.
And to everyone, a safe and happy holiday!!

Honestly, I have to agree. But if you remember, TR didn't do any of the talking either. It was really just Katherine. I have grown to actually dislike her, I'm sorry to say.
I wish her the best in her marriage, though. Congrats and good luck!

Sorry, I hadn't read all of the comments before I responded. I don't agree with all of the sentiments. I do agree that I am tired of her, that's all. I do think that sticking up for your friend is part of the job, but when your friend is done talking about it, you should be, too. I don't wish anyone ill will, though.

Is it just me, or does Kelley look a lot like Sylar?

bluegrumpy: I saw the pic before I saw the heading and I too thought it was Gabriel Gray from Heroes. Very funny...
Unfortunately, there is no other interesting entertainment news out there so we must busy ourselves with talking/reading about people we don't care that much about (Gizzie). I probably wouldn't even be here if there was a more interesting news story - DARN YOU WRITER'S STRIKE!!!!!

For anyone starting out in a new marriage--I wish them nothing but the best. For some of the more nasty comments voiced here--classy, really classy--not! Obviously, the Christmas spirit of the season ran screaming from your veins. Remember, what goes around comes around.

Well, I admired her for sticking up for him. I cringed when I saw Washington blurting out that he didnt call TR a ___ at the Golden Globes. He has ruined the chemistry of the show. He is a great actor and he could have done great things with the role of Dr. Burke. On another note, people seem to forget that he physically attacked Patrick Dempsey and I doubt a lot of us would have not gotten fired if we physically attack a co-worker.

I, too, admire her for sticking up to him and if there is anyone I would wish sadness and pain on it would be Isaiah Washington. But, I think he brings enough of that on himself, so I don't even bother with that.
Yes, Katherine Heigl is outspoken and a strong defender and supporter of her friends. If you're so tired of those very admirable traits, go read another item.
I wish her all the best in what I hope will be a healthy, happy and LONG marriage.
