Bailey and the gang — but mainly Bailey — will have their hands full in the Grey's Anatomy season opener, when a trio of gal-pals-of-a-certain-age swoop into Seattle Grace.

In the two-hour, Sept. 25 premiere, Bernadette Peters ("Snails?!"), Mariette Hartley (aka James Garner's" "wife") and Kathy Baker (Picket Fences ) will guest-star as friends who each require the hospital's care. (All encased in the same slab of concrete?)

Mind you, this comes on the same night that Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprises his role of Denny Duquette, though I have to imagine that is in a very separate story line. — Matt Mitovich

Denny's back? Didn't he go "into the light" (or in this case, the elevator) in season 3?

I'll be interested to see how they bring Denny back, since I thought we'd seen the last of him in Limbo. I'm not complaining though... any excuse for more JDM is good enough for me!

How cliche already with the tumors pressing on people's brains!!!! All My Children, General Hospital and Young and the Restless all had storylines like this only these people went on killing sprees. If they are writing Izzie out, i would hope it would be in a more clever way.

Bernadette Peters on Grey's Anatomy? oh man, I can't wait! as for Izzie. I don't really care WHAT they do with her, just as long as she's gone sooner rather than later. eventually that girl (and by this I actually mean Higel) needs to learn some tact if she wants to do well in that industry.

As corny and cliche as it would be, I wouldn't mind Denny coming back as a twin. He's so sexy!!! Or if he could sort of be her conscience or guardian angel. If only they could steal the P.S. I love you idea of the letters, that would be so sweet. Either way, I'm very excited.

Would LOVE to see JDM back HOWEVER that may be. He is awesome in everything. Needs to be brought back to Supernatural as well. As for Izzie, LOVE her too. Think everyone took her wrong as far as the Emmys go. When Denny died, she was Emmy worthy, but last year she didn't have that great of a storyline. Keep up the good work Izz!

Is it just me or does Grey's Anatomy have the BEST guest stars ever! I have loved almost all of their choices all 4 seasons.I can't wait for the season premiere. All three women who will be guest starring are AWESOME.
