Jennifer Love Hewitt in Ghost Whisperer by Vivian Zink/ABC Studios/CBS
Sci Fi Channel and WE will keep viewers abreast of the Ghost Whisperer's every move, having jointly acquired rerun rights to the CBS drama starting in the fall of 2009. Sci Fi programming VP Thomas Vitale hopes the series brings more gals to his cabler, without alienating its core male viewership. "Our audience has only seen a little bit of [GW]," he tells Variety, "but it's still an established show that is very highly promoted by its network and has high resonance with the [supernatural drama] audience." And indeed, something about Love is wonderfully supernatural. — MWM
