Ghost Whisperer is getting even less Mohr this coming season — Jay Mohr's recurring college prof is going on sabbatical, as the actor leaves to front the new CBS sitcom Project Gary. To fill the void, Jamie Kennedy is joining the CBS drama as a regular cast member, says the Reporter.

Kennedy will play Eli, a grad student in psychology who forms a bond with Melinda. Oh, but I wanna form a bond with her! — Matt Mitovich

Naughty Matt . . . I like it!

I'm sorry to see Mohr disappear from the series. He added some great comic relief and sexual tension. Guess that helps answer something I was wondering about from the season finale. Payne (sp)comments that there are only four shadows for the five people. Either it's an optical illusion, or one of our ghosties is a ghost himself/herself. I'm glad to hear that it won't be Mohr's character.

Either it's an optical illusion, or one of our ghosties is a ghost himself/herself.

My guess was it foreshadowed one of them dying. I'm looking forward to finding out what it means this fall!

I, too, like Payne, I thought that the show only improved once he came on. Hopefully Jamie's character will be enjoyable.

Finally! Now Jay will be in something I can actually stand to watch! Even better, one of the least funny people ever (Kennedy) will be on a show that I can't stand so I can dismiss both at once.

Oh no - I really like Payne on the show. :( (And FWIW, I couldn't believe Nikki Cox -- looked nothing like her!)

I've never really watched Jamie Kennedy, but hopefully he'll be good for the show.

Oh, no. I loved Jay's character. Both funny and, yes, definitely had more sexual chemistry with Melinda than her "husband". Personally, I kept kind of hoping "Jim" could be killed off - booooring.

I liked Kennedy's show, and I'm curious to see what he adds to this. Still I'm going to seriously be missing Jay.

I'm gonna miss Jay. I really enjoyed his scenes with Melinda. I hope TPTB left the door open, just in case his new show gets cancelled.

I, too, thought the lack of one shadow meant that someone was going to die. Time will tell.

I will miss Jay being on Ghost Whisperer. I think he added something to the show. I like Kennedy as well and I'm looking forward to see what he can add to the series. I do love Jim and Melinda together though. I think their chemistry is great and you really feel like they love each other. The last episode you see a part of Jim you usually don't see when he went off on her "father."

I hate to see Jay go. His chemistry w/ Melinda is one of the best things about this show. Hopefully he can come back if his show bombs. On a different note, they should have gotten rid of Delia instead of Rick Payne. She and Melinda have no chemistry as friends. A poor replacement for Andrea. Bring back Andrea and Rick!!!!!!

This makes me sad. I really liked Jay Mohr as Payne on GW. He helped make some dark episodes not so depressing.

I know this sounds terrible, but I sort of hope that Jay's show tanks then he can come back to GW. Though, I don't know if TPTB will want him back since they hired Jaime Kennedy.

Jay Mohr will be missed. I liked his character on the show. He was very funny. There's something very charming about him. Jamie Kennedy has big shoes to fill.

I wikl miss him as well but I hope that it is not his shadow that is missing and that he won't die
becasue some one said it before and I agree with them that I think the lack of the shadow is a foreshadow of a death

I AM THINKING IT CANT BE GOOD WHEN CBS DROPS AWESUM SHOWS LIKE THEY DID MOONLIGHT & THEN START MAKING NEW SHOWS FROM THE CAST OF SHOWS STILL ON NOW!
WHEN THEY CANN GW I WONT BE SHOCKED OR SURPRIZED LIKE WHEN THEY TOOK OFF OUR FAMILY FAVORITE.....
MOONLIGHT!
THEY NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO TRY & GET THE SHOW TO BE BIGGER! THEY JUST USED IT AS A TIME KILLER!
THEY DIDNT CARE THAT THE FANS HAD THE TIME OF THEIR LIFE WATCHING IT EVERY FRIDAY WITH THEIR FAMILYs!
GOOD LUCK GHOST WHISPER!

PrisonBreaker:

I will definitely miss Jay on the show. I think Delia and Melinda are good together. Obviously not as great as Andrea. I like Cameron Manheim and I like the way that Delia is "starting to believe".

I do miss Ayisha Tyler though. Does anyone know why she left? Her choice? Storyline purposes?

I love this show! I hope that the shadows don't mean another death of a character...it was hard enough to get used to Andrea's death and the introduciton of Delia's character, but now I love her and I would hate to see her go...and if they EVER let Jim die I would quit watching all together!!! I hope Professor Payne's sabbatical is very short...he brings humor and a lightness to a show that can be sometimes wonderfully dark!
SO DON'T FIX IT IF IT AIN'T BROKE!?!

I do however, wish Jamie Kennedy the best...it's a great show!!
