Game Off for the CW?

Author Staci Robinson has filed a $40 million lawsuit against the CW and producers of The Game, claiming that the Girlfriends spin-off copies the concept and characters of her unpublished novel, of which she showed an early manuscript, in 2001, to Mara Brock Akil, now a Game exec producer. Robinson's suit seeks a temporary restraining order to prevent the CW from premiering the show on Oct. 1. And just like that, this show got interesting.
