Game Show Crosses Jordan off NBC's List

NBC has announced a Friday, Oct. 13, debut for 1 vs. 100, a new game show to be hosted by Bob Saget. In its first week, 1 (or shall we call it 100?) will air after Deal or No Deal, but from then on it will call 8 pm its home, effectively ejecting Crossing Jordan from its Oct. 20 return date. All the Peacock is saying for now is that Jill Hennessy, Jerry O'Connell, et al, will resurface "at a later date" — perhaps even on a new night, should one of NBC's freshman forays get the ax.

NBC treats it's shows and thus it's viewers like cow dung. Putting on some lame game show with Bob Sagat instead of Crossing Jordan and also depriving Medium fans of their fix...c'mon NBC. Shape up or just go into the fast food business for Pete's sake!

I don't really watch Crossing Jordan, but another silly game show is not needed, thanks. However, if Kidnapped doesn't pick up in the ratings after that first week, I imagine it'll go the way of Heist, opening up the Wednesday timeslot. Law and Order seemed to do well enough last Friday that it may become a permanent fixture there.

This is BS! What is up with NBC. I'm so sick of NBC doing this. Other stations do it too, but NBC seems to have the best new shows, that they don't give a chance or seasoned shows that people love and look forward to and treat them like crap. I've had it. I'm boycotting NBC. I am not going to watch a single NBC program until they straighten up. I realize this means I won't be watching HEROS, CROSSING JORDAN, ANY OF THE LAW & ORDERS, MEDIUM, LAS VEGAS, PASSIONS, OR GIVE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS A CHANCE. What stupid exec's do they have running NBC now. This used to be my station of choice, but I'm finding shows somewhere else. Come on NBC get your act together. You are acting like like a high school senior who doesn't know what college to go to...lets just keep changin our minds and maybe we will settle on something one day close to the deadline! It's crap!

We do not need another game show and Crossing Jordan is a great show that is one of NBC's (few) assets. Though I am not that worried about it...I hear Kidnapped is not doing well, so if it's yanked, I bet Jordan will end up in that timeslot, which is much better than Fridays at 8.

NBC is the worst for pulling crap like this. I hate the way they throw the shows all over. They've done this with Scrubs since the beginning. What they are in essence doing is keeping these shows from finding an audience.

Once again, they are showing their utter lack of respect for a solid show with a great cast and a decent following. Crossing Jordan has always been consistently good tv, and yet we are forced to watch drivel instead.

*sigh* will they ever learn?

I hate the idea of another lame gameshow booting a favorite show of mine. I don't like gameshows and I don't like Bob Saget either. It's a no brainer, I won't watch anything on nbc until my favorite shows like Crossing Jordan, Las Vegas or Medium are back. I urge everyone else to do the same. Vote with your remote!

I, too, am disappointed that Crossing Jordan and Medium have not returned yet!! I am glad to see Las Vegas returning. I guess they think we are the minority but I do not think we are and we want to be heard. These are both very good shows and it would be a shame to not have them return. I am not fond of game shows either. I like something I can sink my teeth into and enjoy. I'm too old to play games and if I did, it would be on the PC.

Like we need another game show! Deal or No Deal 5 nights a week isn't enough. I'm already upset that they moved Law & Order to Fridays upsetting my Wednesday schedule. The only good thing about moving L&O is that least there is one good thing to watch. ABC used to have their comedies but now they have repeats of Grey's and then there is that Men in Trees. At least if NBC brougth back Crossing Jordan then I have two shows to watch. I wish TV Exec's would stop playing with favorite shows. Plus stop with the everyone goes out on Friday and Saturday nights and there is no one at home. Some of us work during the day or run errands and just like to relax in front of the TV. So give us something decent to watch or repeat some of the new shows that are completing with other favorites so there is at least something decent on every night just not Monday-Thursday. TP

Just what I was looking forward to -- another goofy game/reality show! Crossing Jordan is one of the best shows on TV, and now NBC pulls this ridiculous stunt! With this kind of total disregard for its audience, it's no wonder NBC remains in the ratings cellar!!

Ridiculous! Shame on you NBC! We were so looking forward to the season premier of Crossing Jordan and it was cancelled for a stupid game show. A Bob Sagat game show at that! Our 3 favorites Law & Order SVU, Medium and Crossing Jordan! At least we have one to watch. I was upset about Medium being in limbo too and then I saw an advertisement the other night that it is returning but on Wednesday nights now. At least we have that one to look forward to. I really am enjoying Heros but, NBC better get it together and give the audeience what they want. No other person I know watches those dumb game show. Why not just put deal or no deal on like maybe, say 1 night a week instead of 5... Duh!!!!! How stupid. I don't get it, I love all the Law & Orders, but they have like 4 of them and they always have a spot and then they play a dumb game show 5 nights a week and add a new one and don't get me started on Dateline. But then they delay 2 very good rock solid shows that really have and audience.....I say Give us our Jordan back..................
