FX Incurs More Damages (Seasons 2 and 3, To Be Exact)
Turns out that Ausiello's grapevine was ripe when it reported on this five weeks ago. FX has ordered not one more but two new seasons of the critically acclaimed Damages, for a total of 26 episodes. "To be able to tell 26 more hours of mind-blowing stories with Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler is an incredible position to be in," says Jamie Erlicht, Co-President of Programming and Production, Sony Pictures Television. "FX has continually shown enormous support for both this show and for Sony, and it's evident in this extended renewal."
As revealed in my Damages "burning questions answered" Q&A with Zelman and the Kesslers, Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and Tate Donovan all were originally contracted for six seasons and are definitely on board for Season 2, though the fate of Ted Danson's Frobisher remains in the air.

Great News!!!
The fact that there is going to be a third season allows writers to tell their story as well as leave clues to follow for the next season.

YES!!!!
Very good news - especially in the midst of this nasty strike!
Sounds like this summer's TV schedule may be better that this winters!

Absolutely great news.
Let's hope that they plan this so that it ends in summer though. A a summer show it was great - but having it run into the start of the network's season was a msitake

A few thoughts,
1. It is about time.
2. This show is going to be a hit, it is way to good not to be huge.
3. It is going to rack up emmy nominations.
4. And with the same people behind it as last season I expect it to be just as good if not better than the first.

Unless it's a really long strike and threatens summer shows too. Given the extreme greed of the people in charge at the tv/movie studios I wouldn't be at all surprised if the strike canceled summer shows too.

Bite your tongue! Oh the horror of even thinking that this strike will last that long!

Awesome!! I'm so happy - not one, but two seasons! It's so glad this show will be on FX for a long while - it deserves it tremendously. Can't wait to see Ellen and Patty go at it next year.
