Friday Night Lights: What Season 2 May Hold
If Friday Night Lights returns to NBC in the fall, fans shouldn't fear that the Taylors will split up — despite Season 1's cliff-hanger. Kyle Chandler ventured that Eric and Tami will work things out now that the Taylors are expecting an unexpected baby. "We can stab each other, kick each other or shoot each other," the actor said at L.A.'s Museum of Television & Radio on April 13. "But we're going to make it in the end."
FNL executive producer Peter Berg says Season 2 would be less about running backs and more about relationships. "The show will continue to explore the complexities of the personal lives of these characters, and we'll probably focus less and less on the actual game of football," he said. But will Coach Taylor move to Austin to pursue his dream job and leave his burgeoning family behind in Dillon? "Anything could happen," Connie Britton (Tami) said. "Having a baby will create all kinds of interesting conflict and humor." — Reporting by Bekah Wright

Although I'm sure whatever they focus on in the next season, it will be fantastic(yes I am assuming there will be another season), I hope they don't get away too much from football. That's what brings these people together for the most part. It's what they all have in common and it's the number one priority to most people in the town so it won't be realistic if they all of a sudden don't focus at all on h.s. football.

Dolphin, season 2 will probably focus on the rest of the school year at Dillon, so there won't be any games for the team to play. They'll be in training for the next football season, and since there are no games then that's when the writers and producers will focus more on the relationships.

I guess they can do that since the season is over. At least I hope that is what they are doing. Even though I am not a huge football fan thats a big part of this show... the one thing everyone in this town has in common. NBC is crazy for not picking this up for a full season. I swear if they end up getting rid of this show I will never watch NBC again - Really.

While the season is over and the Panthers are the State Champs, Jason Street's speech at the end of the finale set up next season very well. Enjoy the win today, because tomorrow we start preparing for next year. Sounds like next season will be the offseason practice, introduction of new players to replace the departing seniors and the completion of the school year. Please let NBC see the (FN)Lights and renew this masterpiece.

This is the best show people are not watching. If only they all knew about this little gem. Hope NBC realizes and supports what it has. NBC truly needs the help.

FNL is a great show but please don't stray away from football too much. Football should always be a huge part of this show. It's what everyone in the town has in common. Football is their lives.

The off-season? That's a TERRIBLE idea! The show is called Friday Night Lights. The lights aren't on when the games aren't being played. They hardly focus on the games as it is. This season did a great job of balancing the game and relationships and setting the parallel between the two. But I don't see how they could include less football and still be the same show. Every show season should be a new football season. Period.

So exciting!! I'm really looking forward to season 2.
Though I think they had the perfect balance between football and not-football this season. But I guess the less-football is to be more attractive to new viewers?
I don't know... anyway... Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose!

we are absolutely ecstatic, that 'Friday Night Lights', is coming back...It is without question, the very best, of the NBC schedule, and in the 'Top 3' of All the Network Programs. We are positive the 'The Tylers' are going to make everything work out, and they will continue to put 'there kids' first. We hope that the balance of Football and Relationships stays 'status quo', as it would be Sad, to see this Awesome Family Program, turned into a Nite-Time Soap, of Who is Doing What to, and with Who!! This has been, a Weekly Event, in TV History, thanks to Great Casting, Excellent Scripts, On Location Production, which gives the Reality, and Warmth, of the program, and 'Football'...This program has not only Grabbed the Hearts of All of Us, who Love being a part of it, it has brought back some wonderful memory's, of our past...Our own High School year's, when, as We now realize, Life just Doesn't Get Any Better than This. Thank you NBC, for bringing back 'Friday Night Lights', for another season (Hopefully).

I don't know diddly about football but yet I watch this show and enjoy sports movies. Go figure. I think it had a great balance this year.
Has NBC picked up FNL for a second season for sure? Last I remember reading is that they picked up six scripts which is, unfortunetly, not the same thing.

Keep the Taylors together and keep on playing football. It's about their lives and we love it.
