Fox and Lilly, Lost stars, in talks with ABC Studios over paychecks - Today's News: Our Take

Lost producer ABC Studios quietly started paycheck renegotiations with the drama's stars, Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly, who each earn about $150,000 per episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

But when word of the talks about bigger paychecks leaked out, reps for some of the other Losties called the studio to open their own renegotiations. The majority of other regulars earn about $80,000-$90,000 per episode, THR reported.

ABC is getting high profits from the show and the tie-ins. Most other networks renegotiate when they see they have a huge hit. The actors and writers are what keeps people coming back. Give all of them a raise.

Well, normally I hate when people sign contracts then try to renegotiate later, but this may be different. If they're getting paid by the episode, then I can see how the idea to cut to 16 episode seasons really cut into (all of) their paychecks. So, I say, give them that raise.

Since there are only 2 more seasons left anyway - they should definitely get raises. And you're right, if they are paid per episode and the seasons are being cut short, raises are needed for the whole cast, especially the original core.

I agree that the talent should get a piece of the pie, but if the entire cast (particularly on a show with such a large ensemble) starts to demand too much money I wouldn't be surprised if ABC decides not to go ahead with the final couple seasons. Yes, give them more money, but not so much that we are in danger of losing Lost.

i agree..it's an ensemble cast - why should they be the only ones? guess we'll see who's agents are the best as this plays out

Why in the world these two should get more moneys?. They do what for the show to get more moneys?.

Maybe because both their characters are on TWOP polls for "characters that you want to be killed of", maybe because their centric episodes are the worst rated on Lost. And they are nowhere near popular like Josh Holloway\Sawyer, Micheal Emerson\Ben and Terry O'Quinn\Locke!. This is just stupid and retarded!. Those ABC are realy a morons!

when they make more then then me in 5 yrs worht of working then no they don't deserve a rasie. i mean 150k per episode come on folks, it only drives up prices for us and we are in a depression of sorts. but yeah give them more moeny so folks like us suffer!! whatever

They get paid more because they are the official leads of the show. Though the character of Kate never has much to do, both Jack and Kate are featured heavily on the show. They are needed for the end of the show despite arguably being the two least popular characters that is likely why they are able to renegotiate. Plus they probably just have great agents in their corner.

It is time for Smoky to bash their greedy heads in. They should be replaced with other deserving actors. Soap operas do it all the time.
