Sci Fi Channel announced at the summer TCA press tour that cult fave Farscape is returning in the form of a 10-part broadband-channel series. The cabler is also giving Battlestar Galactica fans an eight-part series of broadcast "minisodes" concerning the original Cylon war and leading up to the Nov. 24 premiere of the full-length "Razor." These shorts and the full episode will then be packaged together on a DVD, as well as offered on the channel's website.

Sci Fi's new offerings in development include The Awesomes, an animated series from SNL's Seth Meyers; Going Homer, an Odyssey-inspired six-hour miniseries from Farscape star Ben Browder and producer Andrew Prowse; and God, Inc., a sitcom about His administrative staff.

in the form of a 10-part broadband-channel series.

What does that mean? Webisodes? Cable TV? Mobile phone episodes?

I'm thrilled to hear about the Farscape webisodes. I'd be MORE thrilled to hear about a new season of the show, or maybe a series of TV-movies (more likely), but this is an excellent start!

I just screamed out loud at work while reading the Headline that FARSCAPE LIVES! Are you trying to kill me? I'm not sure what this entails. Are the actors coming back to do mini-episodes to air on the web? I need more detail and then Ben has a creation along with his old Farscape producer/director Andrew Prowse that is coming to Sci-Fi? Will he star in it? I need details people! Hook a sister up!!!

Woo Frelling Who! Great news about Farscape!

Let's just pray they can sign a big chunk of the original cast (especially Ben Browder and Claudia Black) and maintain the creative integrity of the original on the web.

I'd also be more thrilled by TV-movies and availability on DVD, especially involving the original cast.

Matt, I've got to second everybody's request for clarification regarding the news about Farscape due to the accompanying BSG mobisode news.

Are the Farscape episodes a full-on 10-episode revival or a series of mobisodes?

"God, Inc." better be related to the series of internet shorts of the same name and concept or else someone's getting sued.

Eagerly anticipating more/new Farscape. In the meantime, getting my fixes from several sources. THIS WEEKEND, WGN superstation and also local Fox are showing the Premiere episode once again; local UPN and WGN are showing a unique episode called DNA Mad Scientist. Keep those repeats coming while we wait.....
