Fall TV: More Boston Legal Suits ABC
This IS Boston Legal, so it will probably start out with a standard 22 episode order, then it will disappear from airwaves with no explanation for MONTHS, then they'll probably just hold episodes over to make the following season a "super season," knowing full well the show is always on the bubble.
Nevertheless, it's great to see that the show has been picked up for another season. Apart from CBS, you don't see older actors as leads that much anymore!

iceturkee, your apprehension is justified. I've read elsewhere that ABC has the option to cut its order to 13 episodes, and it sounds as though they only renewed BL to get the go ahead on David Kelley's American adaptation of Life On Mars.
Still, it's great to have at least 13. I was sure this show was a goner!

I am so appreciative of this show being renewed!!
This has long been a favorite of my wife and I.
I would BEG Mr. Kelley to get the series back to more CHARACTER driven stories and keep my BL a little less issue driven.
I recently watched the first season again and didn't realize until then how much character has been moved aside for issue.
PLEASE get back to the cornerstone of what made this a great series - the characters!
Thanks to ABC and good luck to Mr. Kelly!
Spader, Shatner, and Bergen - TV's best trio!

Fantastic News! Bravo ABC, you got this one right. Boston Legal is the smartest, funniest, best acted drama on TV today. James Spader is amazing. David Kelly and his writing team are brilliant. The stories are important and insightful. Each topic is fair and balanced to show both sides of an argument and multiple view-points. Boston Legal is the only show on television that speaks out for the people against government corruption, big business, and the flaws in our legal and social systems that plague our society. It speaks to and for us all. After watching an episode, I am left feeling inspired, hopeful for the future and entertained. What more could a viewer ask for? Thank You, ABC, for renewing this show and thank you David Kelly for sharing your genius with us. This country so desperately needs this show.

I would hardly call it the best show on TV, but it's an enjoyable fluff show that doesn't require a lot of thought to enjoy. As with every season of the show it will be interesting to see how much cast turnover there is for next season.
