Exclusive: Heroes Alumna Befriends an Army Wife

Thanks to her increasingly popular radio show on the post, Army Wife Pamela (Brigid Brannagh) is about to get just a little bit famous. And helping her get there will be a local newspaper reporter played by Tawny Cypress.

Cypress, who last was seen getting accidentally (and fatally) shot by her artist-beau, Isaac, on NBC's Heroes, has been booked for a multi-episode Army Wives arc (kicking off Aug. 3) as a journo who gives Pamela some ink. In working on the story, the two ladies form a "close friendship," I am told. Now, being a guy, I did the whole raised-eyebrow, "Close friendship, eh?" thing, but the Lifetime rep assures me that no, we're not going there. (Had to ask, though, right?) — Matt Mitovich

I was going to say that Tawny Cypress was last seen on K-Ville, but I don't think anybody actually saw the show.

Matthew! Get your mind out of the gutter. Women have closer friendships than guys, more like sisterhoods. Often, we bond over discussing the men in our lives. Consider it a good thing. It means we don't brain the males of the species when you do something particularly stupid -like that comment.

For the record...I watched K-Ville and have never watched Heroes.

Side note: I liked K-Ville, but probably shouldn't have gotten invested in it being a Fox show and Fox cancels most of their shows.

As a matter of fact I watched K*ville and loved it! Of course, I agree, Fox can't keep much. I watched Heroes for the first season and got tired of it, so I do remember her from Heroes, but remember her much better from K*ville.

Boy, glad to see so many people shared my high opinion of K-ville. Just another example of how networks don't give some series enough of a chance to catch on. I bet that in summer, when reality TV really takes over the airwaves, this show, a welcome alternative, would have gathered a loyal and much much larger audience than it did during its run. It would probably have become the hit it deserved to be.

Matt.....Speaking of Army Wives, why is there NO blog for AW? there are blogs for Legally Blonde: In Search for the next Elle Woods (who is Elle Woods?), and The Next Great American Band. You (not you personally)have shows that have been cancelled and/or on hiatus. Can't y'all get an intern to write about Army Wives, so us fans can discuss it?
I feel better now !!!

Brigid Brannagh was also on K-Ville, as a guest star.

That makes six of us, Matt.

Same with me- I loved K-Ville and never really liked Heroes. I did expect it to be canceled though.

Anyway, I enjoy her as an actress so I'm looking forward to seeing her.

I enjoyed Tawny on both Heroes &
K-Ville I wished she could have been utilized more on both shows but...

So is this a recurring role then? Will she become a regular?

Nice to have another AA female on the show.:-D
