ER's Goran Visnjic Cops to Affair: "It's Not Something I'm Proud Of"

Speaking to the Croatian women's magazine Story, Goran Visnjic confirmed that yes, he did have an affair with Mirela Rupic, the 36-year-old woman who earlier this week filed a paternity suit claiming that the ER star is the father of her 4-month-old daughter. "It is not something that I am proud of, of course," says Visnjic, who has been wed to Ivana Vrdoljak since 1999. "But I am ready to accept all the consequences of my act" and agree to a paternity test.

Have we heard how his wife is taking all of this news? Is she going to remain in the marriage? I wonder if she was already aware of the situation before it hit the tabloids? I hope so. Goran, I'm disappointed in you, but glad to see you're ready to "accept all the consequences of my act." Hope it will work out well for all involved.

Is he saying this publicly because he got caught? Does taking responsibility mean he's now willing to be a parent to his daughter? This is such a disappointment. Though - I don't know why I should expect better of him when so many others have done the same.

I guess I'm a naive fool...I really thought that he was not the typical cheating a-hole! I'm so disappointed in him. What timing for this to come to light...right after he and his wife adopted a baby boy. Some women tolerate cheating (especially where celebrities are concerned), but I say once he cheats he will probably do it again.

Wow!! Someone in Hollywood that actually takes responsibility for his actions. No chest pounding denials, no long drawn out court actions, no rehab, no endless interviews. Just an admission of wrong behavior and a willingness to try to do the right thing. Good for him. Wouldn't it be nice if more celebrities would do that. Then we wouldn't have to listen to the endless reporting of their sordid "alley cat" behavior by reporters needing to fill airtime and creating interest and controversy where none should be.

Well, it's refreshing to see someone cop to a mistake, but, really, with all the garbage that goes on in Hollywood, this doesn't seem like too big a deal. I'm glad he's owning and willing to be responsible now, even if he wasn't all that responsible when he chose to sleep around...
