ER Admits Four New Interns

ER is bringing on a quartet of new recurring players for its final season — all of them playing interns at County General.

According to the Reporter, Shiri Appleby (Roswell) and Julian Morris have been cast as siblings (she's smart, he tries to skate by on looks alone), Emily Rose (Brothers & Sisters) will play a controlling type who (all together now) rubs folks the wrong way, and Victor Rasuk's character is a native New Yorker henpecked by his wife. — Matt Mitovich

I haven't watched ER in a decade, but I just wanted to say it's good to see that Shiri Appleby is joining the cast. I had wondered where she disappeared to after Roswell. I always liked her.

I was just thinking of Shiri the other day and wondering if she had any projects coming up, so it is nice to see she has a role coming up on ER!

I haven't watched ER in 7 years or so, but may tune back in for Shiri Appleby. At least we know this gig will go better for her then her Six Degrees one and Welcome to the Captain one.

I enjoyed Emily Rose on Jericho this past season so she will be a good addition to the show too.

Ughh...as a viewer who has been with the show since the pilot, going into the last season, I don't think they really need to bring on more people.

Victor Rasuk's character is going to be married. That's so dumb! His character is like 24 or something!

I really like Shiri Appleby, but I thought she was already cast in a show for the USA network called "To Live and Die?" Was she replaced in that show? Or is this something she's doing inbetween? I used to love ER, but I'm just not sure I care anymore...

Can't we just focus on the characters already there in the show's last season?
We are going to already have Angela Basset's hard-ass character to tolerate.

whennow ARE you saying people don't get married at 24?? It might not be the smartest thing to do for some people, but they do it anyway. It's a good idea from the writers stand point. It brings in a entirely new set of issues.

I will watch ER again just for her.

She was on ER, as a patient I believe, when she was 16. Does this factor into the storyline?

Imagine how long a reel of opening credits would be if they had to include all regular cast members from season 1 to now.
