Entourage Crazyman Joins 24, More Casting News

Rhys Coiro by Claudette Barius/HBO

As first reported by Ausiello, Janeane Garofalo (whose name I will apparently need to learn to type correctly... ) is joining 24 for Season 7. Per a Fox press release, Garofalo is playing "Janis Gold, an FBI systems analyst assigned to the team investigating the crisis befalling Jack Bauer and company." Working alongside G-a-r-o-f-a-l-o, TVGuide.com has confirmed, will be Rhys Coiro (aka Entourage's Billy Walsh). 24's new day begins sometime in January 2008.... It's The Accused meets Top Gun! All that's missing is a barn-raising. Kelly McGillis will be guesting on The L Word this coming season, playing a military lawyer involved in a "Don't' ask, don't tell" case, says the Advocate.

I like Janeane Garafalo. I always have. I even appreciate (and somewhat agree) with her politics. I don't know what you are quoting about her and the American flag, but sometimes it offends me too. People LOVE to wave it around and claim to be all patriotic and holier than thou. I love this country but, hate the way people act sometimes. I love this country but don't for a second think we're the "best in the world", far from it. I love this country and that's why I think it needs to be fixed, because for sure it is broken right now.

I like Janeane Garafalo. I always thought she pulled the smart, cute, goth chick thing off well, even into her 40's! Call me weird.

Oh, well it's used to be a good show, guess I'll find something else. It's not that Janeane Garofalo is liberal its more that she earned the nickname 'Gawdawfullo' for a specific reason, she is an awful actress. Remember 'Mystery Men'?!

See now, there is more than one opinion her. I don't think she's an awful actress at all. I also think she's entitled to her opinion in a country where there is still free speech - last I heard. There must be because it's sure exercised around here a lot!

"Mystery Men" was awesome. All you Rushies and O'Rielly-heads are what's wrong with America. You are SO polarizing it's not funny. I watch "24" even though Surnow is a flaming Conservative.

If Bill Maher and Ann Coulter can be friends... if Mary Matalin and James Carville can get married... can't the rest of us respect the fact that Americans are allowed to have a different point of view? Can't we be friends?

You know, if I only watched shows where I agreed with all the actor's opinions, I probably wouldn't watch any TV at all. Those of you that are not going to watch this season because Janeane is going to be on it, have fun with your boycott. That's why it's great to live in a country where you have the freedom to express your opinion. I only wish actor's had that right too.
