TBS' Bill Engvall Gets Eyed by CBS

And you thought that Bill's "remote control" interstitial was in your face. The Bill Engvall Show is getting a plum showcase on CBS this Monday night, offering up a Season 1 repeat that will hopefully lead folks to give the family-friendly comedy a try when it unveils its sophomore run Wednesday, June 12, on TBS.

How this all works: In exchange for giving Bill the airtime, CBS will get to plug-plug-plug its fall line-up on TBS, in earnest, later in the summer.

Speaking of Engvall, he and TV bud Tim Meadows dropped by the other day to give me a video Q&A. Funny fellas! Watch for that next week. — MWM

...when it unevils its sophomore run...

What is this, some kind of purification ritual? I've never seen this show, admittedly, but if it's family-friendly shouldn't its evilness already be at a minimum?

LOL. Typos can be funny! At least in my lame world. Sorry to nitpick, MWM, but it gave me a chuckle. :-x

Apparently, someone fixed the typo before I read the post.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the first season of the show--it's very family friendly and charming, a nice respite from all of the dark dramas and the more salacious sitcoms I watch.

Oh, good. More shows to watch until they're canceled after a season. Can't wait.

CBS really forces the "watching" though, since they're the only network that hasn't figured out how to add a filler program after sports events so DVR schedules are wrecked...

Oh man, I thought it was a typo when I scanned the schedule for next week. Good idea, bad timing... CBS should have done this last year when the show started!

Love that Engval show but sometimes miss its time slot. very funny. TBS has turned it up a notch. Plus any info on the upcoming My Boys on TBS? another fun sit-com worth checking for.

So why couldn't TBS do that with House of Payne?
