Disney's Enchanted topped the box office with a $35.3-million three-day haul, and has taken in $50.5 mil since Wednesday — the second-best five-day Thanksgiving opening ever (behind Toy Story 2's $80.1 mil). This Christmas placed second with $18.6 mil.

Rounding out the top five were Beowulf ($16.2 million for the three-day weekend), the video-game adaptation Hitman ($13 mil in its debut) and Bee Movie ($12 mil).

Among other bows, August Rush came in seventh with $9.4 mil, while The Mist premiered in ninth with $9.1 mil.

What did you see this weekend, and what did you think of it?

I took my daughters (6 & 2) and they loved it. It was the 2yr olds first movie and she was entertained the whole way through.
I also enjoyed it. I love anything with McDreamy in it!

I went to Enchanted, and while I thought the beginning and ending were weak, the bulk of the movie was good. Overall, I enjoyed it and I thought Amy Adams was fantastic.

Loved this movie -- made me laugh out loud. Every age was represented in the audience. Perfect holiday romp for me.

My daughter and I went to see Enchanted as well. Although I figured out the ending it didn't really spoil any of the fun for me. My daughter (9) absolutely loved it as did I. I recommend it for all princessess (young and old ;))

I wonder if anyone saw The Mist and what their thoughts of it are. I had no desire to see it thinking it would be as lame as The Fog. That is until I read the reviews and it sounded as if it was actually a good movie. But I don't always agree with the critics. So just curious of movie goers opinions. Thanks!

I also saw Enchanted this weekend and thought it was fun...a bit predictable, but fun :) Especially liked the ballroom scene where we got to see/hear Jon McLaughlin sing (the song that Robert & Giselle danced to) - you should check out his website: www.jonmcl.com

I saw The Mist last Wednesday. While the scary effects were great, the dialogue was cheesy, and the "surprise" ending actually upset my teenage daughter terribly. We really weren't expecting that!

It was a toss up between August Rush and Enchanted. August Rush was a bit slow-paced and predictable, but I enjoyed it. The actors were wonderful and the music was perfection.

I'll probably see Enchanted soon, but I wasn't disappointed with my pick :)

I saw American Gangster and Enchantment. Both were awesome!

Enchanted was by far the most surprising of the 5 movies I saw (Yeah I know, but familt lives too far). I don't have kids but that movie was a lot better than the trailers made it out to be. B+

This Christmas was a really good movie, Chris Brown tried his best to ruin it but it was very enjoyable. B

The Mist is far better than The Fog but that's not really saying much, the trailers have been promoting the surprise ending but there's a clue in the movie that sort of gave it away. C+

August Rush, the actors were all great and i agree the music was really good but I too felt it was kinda slow and now real surprises. B

Hitman, eh about what one would expect C

I'm bummed to hear that the trailers for The Mist were giving away the ending (I somehow avoided them, making the movie muuuuch more enjoyable for me and the ending so much more suprising). I'm also suprised by the mixed to negative reviews here and the small opening; the packed audience I was with was having a blast!

I saw The Mist which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's a more old fashioned monster movie, kind of Twilight Zoney. The ending's awesome. Maybe I'm stupid but I didn't see it coming.

Also saw No Country for Old Men. Probably the best movie I've seen in years. Also with a controversial ending.
