I am going to chose to re-read these comedy nominations over and over again today and refrain from having a brain explosion over the drama noms (still processing, still confused). Who knew that the Emmy panel could correctly gauge comedies? These actually make some semblance of sense!

No John Krasinski? How is that possible? There are 6 noms in Supporting Actress why couldn't they stick JK in for Supp Actor? Seems odd. I guess there are more people in the male category splitting votes?? I love Jenna but I really love John

WHERE IS ZACH BRAFF!!! Where is Donald Faison? Where is John McGinley? I know this was a down year for Scrubs, but did these people not watch the musical episode? Quit fawning over Tony Shaloub. Scrubs is better than any of the shows nominated, save The Office.

I personally like all the comedy nods. I honestly can't think of one that doesn't deserve it.
But I have agree with whoever said that about Tony Shaloub (Monk)..... a BIG yawn to his nod. Sorry Tony, love ya (you're from and frequently visit my home state (go badgers/packers!!)) but it's time to move over and let someone else win this year. We get he nails his character every darn show ( I don't watch but I have friends who love that show). But I say, it's about time the Emmy's start praising other deserving actors.

Instead of lamenting who is not listed, I will rejoice in who is. Kevin Dillon, yay! America Ferrera and Tina Fey, yay! Alec Badwin and Ricky Gervais, yay! Jenna Fischer and Vanessa Williams, yay! It's great to see new people represented.

I'm reading the list of Guest Actresses and my thoughts go like this:

Dixie Carter - Good choice.
Laurie Metcalf - Even better choice
Elaine Stritch - Don't watch but have always liked her.
Judith Light - OH MY GOD, YES!!!!!
Salma Hayek - Eh.

I've been a fan of Judith Light's since her days on One Life to Live. I even liked Who's the Boss. But her work on Ugly Betty is the best work she's ever done. I only hope the Emmy voters agree.

TINA FEEEEEEEY!

30 Rock being nominated is enough for me, even without Braff and Krasinki.

I think they pretty much got this one right. I could do without the Two & a Half Men nods, Tony Shalhoub, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus but this list is much better than the drama.

I love John Krasinski, don't get me wrong, but season 3 was all about Pam. John shined during season 2 and it was criminal that he wasn't nominated but I understand him missing out this year. It was just that other characters outshone Jim this season.

Im with you Great8, compared to the fiasco of last years nominations....we should at least be a little happy for those who should be. Im alittle disppointed for those who I wanted to be nominated....but hey it could of been much much worse.

Im so pleased that Laurie Metcalf, and Judith Light got nominated for Guest roles in Betty and DH. Between the 2 of them and the others I dont know who I want to win.

Im also pleased that they didn't shut out Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock, cause of his controversy he had early this year.

I am mostly happy, but it looks like the committee got tired of looking at nominees and just threw in a couple from each show to take less time. I don't think I have ever seen this many multiple entries per category, but maybe I just haven't cared as much as this year that my faves didn't make it.

Wow, that supporting actress category is a tough one. I've never seen Weeds so I don't know about Elizabeth Perkins(don't have Showtime), but those other five are really great. I don't know who to root for.
