Ellen Pompeo: No More Heated Frays at Grey's
In speaking to TheEnvelope.com about her Golden Globe nod, Ellen Pompeo says that things have "completely" calmed down on the Grey's Anatomy set since the October fracas between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey. In fact, she cops to being "surprised more hasn’t happened" backstage at the under-the-microscope hit show. "If it wasn’t such a great group of people, we could have a lot more chaos," she says. "We are pretty blessed."
As for whether she will be blessed with a statue come Jan. 15, Pompeo is hedging her bets. "I don't have a chance," she says. "Edie Falco and Kyra Sedgwick [are nominated]. Come on!" And by "Come on," she meant, "Seriously."

As much as I love Ellen on Grey's, I really am rooting for Kyra to won the Globe. She made me love her character from the start. It is a tough field in this category this year. As for "things quieting down", I still hate when Isiah is on the screen, after he pretty much forced T.R. Knight to come out (during an immature hissy fit). I just wish he didn'y have so many scenes with the incredible Sandra Oh. I could FF on my DVR thru his scenes. Maybe a helicopter can fall on him off the hospial roof? Oh, that's the OTHER show... too bad.

She's surprised more hasn't happened? I've worked in many jobs and never saw a fist fight or a near fist fight at any of them. At happy hour - yes, but not the job.

The Sopranos had an all around subpar season, much like the first 6 Lost episodes this season, and doesn't deserve any awards. That being the case, if Kyra doesn't win then we'll know the Golden Globes have switched to the new Emmy voting system and we all know how bad that is.

Well, I have my fingers crossed for Ellen if that helps any. I don't think she will take it this year but I can wish, can't I?
Count me in also as one that can't stand to see Isaiah Washington on the screen anymore. This is my very favorite show on TV and I feel as if he's ruined it for me.
I feel resentful toward him for making T.R. Knight come out as bantling14 said above. I don't like watching someone when I know the kind of person they really are.

It's hard to watch Isaiah knowing that he called T.R. the "f" word in a workplace. I'm shocked that more was not done. I'm sure if T.R. had called Isaiah the "n" word, and since thw show runner is black, all heck would broken loose.
