See how much can happen in just a few minutes? Yesterday the hopefully reformed party animal served 84 minutes in jail — that's less time than it takes to watch Freaky Friday — on her drunk-driving offense. But she wasn't given special treatment. Noooooo. "This is what we do for most everybody in this position," says a sheriff's department spokesperson. Well, in that case, party in the Caddy! — Ben Katner

"This is what we do for most everybody in this position," says a sheriff's department spokesperson.

Did the spokesperson say what, exactly, that position was? Or did the censors bleep it out?

From my understanding, due to overcrowding in LA jails, people with sentences less than 30 days are just processed in and then processed out.

We only hear about it when celebrities are involved.

84 minutes for DUI is what everyone gets in Hollyweird????? I find that VERY difficult to believe. If it is true then that tells me that MADD is not doing what they are supposed to do because in Tennessee it is a mandatory 48 hours for a 1st offense, along with a bunch of fines.
