Dustin Diamond news, Screech writes tell-all on Saved by the Bell - Today's News: Our Take

Dustin Diamond, who played perma-teen Screech on Saved by the Bell and its spin-offs until he was in his mid-twenties, is writing a tell-all tattler about the show.

Called Behind the Bell, Diamond's ghost-written tome will reveal behind-the-scenes tidbits about his fellow Bellers, including "sexual escapades among cast members, drug use and hardcore partying," according to an article in New York magazine.

What say you — are you psyched to read about Bell stars Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez back in their formative years? Do you not care? Or are you just plain over Dustin Diamond? — Nina Hämmerling Smith

This guy is such a loser. He's already proven he'll do anything to make a buck - besides ACTUALLY WORKING. Move along dude, nobody wants to see you "act" and if anybody actually buys this book you're only encouraging him to hang around. And while we're at it - can we just ban him from the reality shows? Please? Looking at the guy makes me want to take a shower. Yuck.

I'm so over him it's not even funny. This thing just reeks of desperateness. He wasn't that good on the show in the first place... And he hasn't gotten better over time either.

I'm too old for Saved My The Bell, but I know a showbiz hanger-on when I see one. It's a free country, so he can do whatever he wants (mind you, I can't believe there's a publisher who actually wants to peddle this piffle), but I hope he realizes this will likely be the last gasp of his pseudo-celebrity-dom (or should I say dumb)?"

Does he ever hope to work again? Is anyone going to want to work with a guy who will sensationalize the day-to-day aspects of their working lives? After this piece of...literature...he won't even be able to get a role on Saved By The Bell: The Nursing Home Years!

I'm not going to read this book, what they did in their teens and early twenties is what most everyone does to begin with and is their business. Dustin Diamond needs to stay out of the spot light since he has become a total jerk.

It makes you wonder who is lying because mario Lopez said the E true hollywood story on this was the most boring ever becasue no one ever really hooked up with each other or anything else. I think two of them dated for a short time but thats it. But no i would not read it.

As someone who probably acted and felt like a Screech during my entire high school period, a show like "Saved by the Bell" absolutely appalls me with the handsome-but-shallow-lead getting the georgeous-cheerleader-type and being friends with the obnoxious-geek that rarely, if ever, happens in real life. So on that note, I don't blame Mr. Diamond for doing what he's doing though I have no plans to buy or even borrow the book. At least Mark Paul, Tiffany-Amber, Mario, and even Elizabeth, despite Showgirls, have done better things leaving that crappy show far, far behind!

What a loser. First it was selling shirts to save his house, then being a combative participant on the weight loss show (whichever that was), and then it was the sex tape. Now this. No class. No talent. I hope his book is a failure just like him.

Absolutely not. I didn't care for "Screech" when he was on TV, I don't care for him now and I definitely don't want to know the sordid details of Saved by the Bell.
