Someone hand me a walker, please, because Broadway is reviving something I saw the previous time around. [Old man's sigh] According to the New York Post, the Great White Way is welcoming back Guys and Dolls, with a spring 2008 opening in mind.

The producers' dream cast, which sources say has a 50-50 chance of becoming reality: Debra Messing as Adelaide, John C. Reilly as Nathan, Patrick Wilson as Sky, and Anne Hathaway as sweet Sarah.

"I think of the dayyyyyys gone by...."

I was in a small production of Guys and Dolls. I love the music and story from that show, it never gets old for me. I think Damon Runyon stuff is just plain fun to see! The Brando movie was made in 1955 and is ready to be remade if you ask me. The cast mentioned would be a dream cast for a movie too. I'd even go to the theatre to see it!

Are you moaning about Patrick Wilson? A Tony winner for musicals? Or John Reilly and academy award nominee for them?

Or the women? Cause thats who I would be moaning about.Messing is firey, and hathaway sweet, but come on... Megan Mullaly is Adelaide.

Megan Mullaly is Adelaide.

That I could agree with. I love the idea of Patrick Wilson and John Reilly. That's the best part of this dream cast.

Mullally is otherwise committed to Young Frankenstein :-D

Patrick Wilson would be an awesome Sky. But for Adelaide, I want Kristen Chenoweth.

Kristin Chenoweth can't do it, she's in Pushing Daisies which, God willing, will keep her busy into the spring and (knock on all the wood you can get your hands on) even longer. I really hope that show catches on.

Anne still seems rather girlish for Sarah but I bet she'll knock "If I Were a Bell" outta the park. That's totally her style. We've known she can sing for some time so I'm thrilled she'll get to do Broadway. Shame I won't be able to see it.
