Deadwood's Trixie Inhabits Sci Fi's Caprica

Paula Malcolmson, best known to TV fans from her run on Deadwood, has landed the female lead in Caprica, Sci Fi Channel's prequel to Battlestar Galactica. Per the Reporter, Malcolmson will play Amanda, a surgeon who moonlights as a double agent.

The TV-movie/backdoor series pilot, set 50 years pre-BSG, will follow both the evolution of the Cylon race and a feud between two families. — MWM

Best. Casting. Decision. Ever. I'm surprised she's not booked doing thousands of other acting gigs. Seriously though, how has she not hit it big yet? Best decision this show could have made. It just made me a convert when once I was not.

ummmmmmmmmm.....never heard of her. But I'm gonna wait until I watch the pilot before seeing if cast is right or wrong. BSG cast is PERFECT...so I'm worried...

If the same team that casted BSG is casting Caprica, I don't see where you have much to worry about, karaleefan. They've proven they know what they are doing.
