Damages season 2 casting news: Timothy Olyphant - Today's News: Our Take

Timothy Olyphant, a recent guest star on Samantha Who? but best known to TV viewers from his role as Deadwood's Seth Bullock, is joining the cast of Damages for Season 2.

Olyphant's character will become "tangled" in Ellen's life as Patty's padwan recovers from whatshisname's murder while also dealing with a professional conflict in the form of new client William Hurt.

Wow that cast is just great! I've loved Olyphant since seeing him in Go. Terrific actor and oh-so-fine to look at too!

i'm just all a flutter and giddy over this. He's been great in every movie he has been in, DIe Hard, Go, The movie where he played a gay guy (fantastic)The broken Hearts Club, Rock Star, everything so this is going to be such an awesome ensamble cast

I've only seen him in die hard 4 (he plays a great bad guy) and that movie, catch and release.

I am a HUGE Timothy Olyphant fan. I am SO happy about this that my mood actually improved upon hearing the news!! I loved Season 1 of Damages and cannot wait for Season 2 - which isn't until January .. (GAH!)

I love this guy. No matter how good or bad the project, he never fails to impress. A stellar addition to an already stellar cast. And how sexy does he look with a little salt and pepper?!?!

I guess this means there will be no Deadwood movie to resolve its end. Typical HBO betrayal.

But, good news indeed, Timothy Olyphant is so charismatic an actor he will be an awesome addition to Damages. Season 1 was so harrowing and scary, it gave me nightmares of Glen Close yelling at me. Sure made it difficult sleeping. I finally had to start taping it and seeing it the next day, middle-of-the-day for the time to recover.

Oh Boy, my favorite "Hitman". I wasn't watching this show, but I may just take a peak just to see Olyphant.

Dude even pulled me into watching that stupid porn comedy, The Girl Next Door. I love him, and the salt-n-pepper sure beats the cueball he was sporting on Samantha Who?. I thought he was pulling a Billy Zane.
