CW Picks Up Supernatural, Gossip and More

Joining the chorus of nets' announcements on series renewals, the CW is the latest to chime in with its roster so far. The network will be bringing back a handful of faves, including Supernatural, those lovely Upper East Siders on Gossip Girl, the One Tree Hill clan and Tyra's next coterie of model wannabes who compete on America's Next Top Model.

In addition to the great news on these CW staples, we'll also get an eighth season of Tom Welling's deep pools of blue eyes on Smallville. The only problem will be which one to look forward to most. — Anna Dimond

The #1 scripted show on the network, and it totally deserved to be picked up.

Well, they kinda had to. They have no new shows in development for next year right now and they have an extra day to fill since Smackdown is gone.

Not surprising, but awesome news for Supernatural and Smallville!! I wonder which cast members will actually be returning to Smallville next season. I hear Tom Welling and John Glover are the only ones actually signed on for an eighth season. I'm kind of hoping Reaper gets another chance as well.
