CSI Star Busted on Coke, Smack and E Charges
Gary Dourdan by John Parra/ WireImage.com
CSI star Gary Dourdan on Monday morning was busted in Palm Springs on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs. TMZ reports that the actor was asleep in his car when law enforcement officials approached his car at 5:21 am/PT, and subsequently made the bust.
As first reported by Ausiello, Dourdan and the CBS procedural recently agreed to "mutually" part ways, though new intel suggested that an "ongoing problem personal to Dourdan" played a role in his perhaps not-so-voluntary ouster. CSI's May 15 season finale could well be Dourdan's final appearance as Warrick. — MWM

Well that might explain the "parting of the ways". If the company found out about an alleged drug addiction, maybe they let him go "the nice way". Without letting his addiction out to the public. Unfortunately, it looks like he did that all on his own.

Sounds like that rap, rap, rap of the flashlight on his drivers-side window just might have saved his life. That's quite the cocktail of overdose he had on hand.
Nice way to learn from Mr. Ledger's mistake, Gary!
Knucklehead.

So does that mean that your mouth is open, or is your skin orange and scaly?
Too bad. Gary Dourdan is a good actor who had a good job, and he blew it--not to mention many future jobs. No wonder he was fir--I mean, decided to leave.
On a different note, that is an awful picture.

If this is true, the powers that be were right to fire him. Perhaps now he can focus on rehab/recovery without the pressures of work.
Shame on him for getting into this mess in the first place, though.

That is too bad. I hope he gets help for his issues. I do not understand why people turn to alcohol and drugs.

I am sorry to hear this is his "chronic problem" Ausiello wrote about. He is a wonderful actor; I only HOPE this will drive him to get the help he obviously needs. Thanks to CSI execs for "firing" him.

I'm so sorry to hear this He was one of my favorites on CSI.
As for the shame on him comment: addiciton is an awful state of mind. Only he and his loved ones can know how this happened, how he got so addicted.
Heroine, cocaine and ecstasy sounds lioke a death wish.
Please get well Gary...

When stuff like this happens I always think about Glenn Quinn (Doyle on season 1 of Angel). He had to be let go "for personal reasons" and then he died of a heroin overdose (
Please get help. Stay away from drugs, get therapy, use anti-depressants. Just get well...

Yikes. I felt beyond the story turns in his character over the last few years something seemed a bit off. Perhaps this explains it.

Oh, gosh, this makes me sick! How awful for anybody to be addicted to drugs, let alone someone who is so talented!
This goes to show that fame and fortune all boil down to smoke and mirrors. A person can be admired - and even loved - by many, but when personal demons are left unchecked, disaster looms. I truly hope he gets the appropriate treatment.
More importantly, I hope this public exposure wakes him up, and he has the sincere desire to change. This is sad. I hope that eventually, he can come back to work and succeed, just like Robert Downey Jr. and others have done.
Gary must be so scared of going to jail! I can already smell the papparazi. My prayers are with him, his family, friends and colleagues.

Kudos for pulling over to sleep and not driving under the influence and putting himself and others in possible danger.
