No Country for Old Men arrives on DVD March 11, albeit not in time for a pre-Oscars living-room viewing.... Showtime will sneak-peek the Feb. 24 episode of The L Word on Feb. 18, at OurChart.com.... Scottish-born Craig Ferguson has passed his U.S. citizenship test, he announced on Monday's Late Late Show. "All of you people born here, if you had to take that test... well, Canada would be building a fence right now," he quipped. (Someone help me out here — I don't get it.)

I think Ferguson was saying that if we had to take the test, we'd all fail and be forced to flee to Canada.

If you can't easily pass that test, you need to retake high school civics, stat. Or at least watch some Schoolhouse Rock.

That sounds about right. I had a friend who became a US citizen a couple of years ago. The test had some really hard questions on it. Stuff every American should know, but doesn't. She let me read the questions, I think out of about 60 questions, I only got 15 right.

You can look at sample questions here:

I don't think the one about Thanksgiving is true, and I can't figure out why you would have to answer a question about the UN on a US citizenship test...

I only got a handful wrong (of course, one was the number of Representatives, sort of important), so I guess I'm okay to stay in the US. *grin* (Apparently my AP History and Government classes were good for something.)

People seriously don't know the majority of that stuff? That is incredibly sad. No wonder we're perceived as an ignorant nation overall by foreigners.
