Two Coreys: Dark Revelations Shake Season 2 Opener

Corey Haim and Corey Feldman by Andrew Eccles/A&E
Corey Haim and Corey Feldman's personal problems following their 1980s rise to fame are by now well documented. Yet in Sunday's Season 2 opener of A&E's The Two Coreys, things took an even more serious turn when each revealed having suffered sexual abuse as a teen.

In a cantankerous exchange, each Corey suddenly throws barbs at the other for having gone without support from the other. Things get heated until finally Haim marches off camera. In interviews with GQ, each responds to the scene, with Feldman saying he knows who did it and got over it, and Haim essentially brushing it off.

Why reveal these things now, in a reality show, of all places? Feldman claims Haim broke a mutual agreement by bringing it up on camera, while Haim says simply, "That's life in this world." What's your reaction to The Coreys' revelation? You can see more of the lost boys Sundays at 10 pm/ET. — Anna Dimond

It's worth noting that Feldman was very close to Michael Jackson when he was a preteen.

This is what happens when childstars have no anchor when they achieve stardom. In another 15 years, it will be interesting to see which ones of the current crop of kids end up like the Corey's. So sad. Corey Haim is either a complete flake or a brilliant actor. Corey Feldman seems to be at a loss as to how to handle it all. I have to wonder how much they are getting paid. Maybe they will find it's worth it in the end.

I'm not surprised. Where trouble goes something has usually come before it.

Michael Jackson was aquitted. Lets not forget that.

Feldman said recently (I think I read it yesterday) that it wasn't MJ, it was an assistant of his.

>>Michael Jackson was aquitted. Lets not forget that.<<

Acquitted means the prosecution didn't meet the burden of proof, not that the accused is innocent.

Look, you two, if you're going to air your dirty laundry in public, come completely clean. If you're going to make such out there claims, tell it all and get it over with. Otherwise, shut up.

My point is it that no one should be tried again by a bunch of people with no real knowledge of the truth but who can blab away in an entertainment blog. But go ahead, someone much more powerful than me will judge you on what you do and say eventually - so judge or misjudge away!

Has everyone just simply forgotten that the first season was entirely artificial and scripted? That beautiful house that the Feldman's own (and that the wife is so protective of)? Not their house. It was rented by the production. It's not even in LA, in fact, the house is in Vancouver!

Ever notice that the Feldman's live a child-free lifestyle on the show? In real life they have a child. Feldman's "band" that he "reunites" for the gig? Local Canadian session musicians who had never met Feldman.

I can't believe there are people who watch this show and think it's a reality show. It's a loosely scripted drama where the principles play themselves and ad lib all their lines, but the story is planned out in advance.

Having relatives and close friends who've been either assaulted or abused sexually, I've come realize that secrecy pacts are the worst thing one can do. Sexual abuse should be treated no differently than having been beaten or struck, otherwise it just festers and the victim continues to suffer in other ways. Not least of all punishing oneself.

But, everyone deals in his own way. And it looks like the Coreys chose to self-medicate. Now they're working it out on camera...sort of.

Interesting Lyle. I thought the show was fake when I watched one show last season. But I thought the new one was real when they talked about being molested.
That's what I hate about "reality" tv, never know what's real and fake. Like the houses they use on VH1 shows I know are fake (for I love New York, Flavor Of Love, Rock Of Love, etc.). Hell it seems they use the same neighborhood for their shows.

Those type reality shows relly need to be taken with a grain of salt. I don't watch any of them as a general rule but some times, late at night when infotainment takes over a lot of tv, I have watched a few of them. I actually believe that there is any truthiness to the shows? Not so much.
