Coming Soon: NBC Clears Improv Hour for Rip-off
Perhaps never having tried to sit through any 10 minutes of ABC's Whose Line Is It, Anyway?, NBC has ordered six episodes of Thank God You're Here, an improv-comedy series from the producers of American Idol (which is, in its own way, an improv-comedy series). In Living Color alum David Alan Grier will host each hour, with grown-up Kid in the Hall Dave Foley deciding which guest celebrity performs best under a variety of wacky conditions.
In other Peacock news, the network has also picked up Identity as a regular series, which means I cannot watch it more frequently.

I hope NBC has a new host for Identity.

Identity was horrible. I cant believe they would renew it. Whats up with NBC these days. I honestly dont think a new host will help. The whole concept is just so boring.

It looks like the Peacrap network is going to really follow through on their promise/threat to schedule nothing but non-scripted poo in the first hour of prime time after all. This does not bode well for Friday Night Lights, does it?

I really like Who's Line Is It, Anyway? And although it had many of the same people I actually liked the British version best. I admit that I did watch the four episodes of Identity, but I won't be watching anymore of them. That show cannot possibly pull off a full time gig.

nbc just my mind. i watch idenity for 10 minutes when it first came out and after that i had enough of it. first they expand the today show for 4 hours, then they cancel passions, and now they are renewing idenity. good grief. what are they smoking over there? whats next giving paris hilton her own sitcom?

I thought Identity got voted the worst show on TV not long ago? It was horrendous! Keep it off - put Passions in that spot N-B-C. (Imagine me saying that like Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock).

My whole family really liked Who's Line and we continue to watch the episodes on ABC Family occasionally. The actors were very clever and it was a much more amusing way to spend our time than endless hours of crappy singers.

Except for the Thursday night line-up, and Friday Night Lights and Heroes, NBC seems to be the network for the lowest common denominator.
Deal or No Deal, 1 vs. 100 and Identity are the dumbest things I've ever seen. And I used to watch The Tom Green Show.
