Celebs Offer Support for Lindsay Lohan
Shirley MacLaine, who is producing and costarring in Lindsay Lohan's next movie, Poor Things, has vowed to stand behind the hot mess, even going so far as to rearrange the shooting schedule so that Lindz can still participate once she's detoxed. "We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit," reads the noted kook's statement.

And here I was thinking that Shirley would be like Jane Fonda and give Lindsay hell. Darnit ... I was kind of looking forward to seeing that. Oh well ... maybe Olympia Dukakis will.
Somebody seriously needs to give Lindsay a good, swift kick in the rumpus!

Shirley MacLaine is awesome. She can teach Lindsay how to be batsh*t crazy in a good way instead of a bad one.

I definitely think that Lindsay needs some TOUGH love. Maybe someone that has been down this road before, like Drew Barrymore could come to her aid.

Kudos to Ms McLaine for being such a decent standup person and not willing to fall for all the media hype and stupidity of the press in regards to dealing with someone with a problem. At least Shirley is a loving "kook".

And what, precisely, makes Shirley MacLaine a kook, Benjamin? Her belief in reincarnation? Her attempts to get in touch and stay in touch with her spiritual side? The fact that her beliefs probably don't mesh with yours?
Shirley MacLaine is an extremely talented, dynamic, intelligent woman. Her beliefs may not be mainstream, but that doesn't make her crazy.

While it is nice of MacLaine to support Lindsay, the problem is that unless there are some repurcussions for her behavior, she's not likely to change. If people keep handing her jobs and multi-million dollar paychecks, how does she learn any lesson?

Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Paris, Mischa...they all run in the same drug bag circle of friends. Arrest them all and lock them in one cell. Stop reporting on them and report on young stars that are role models like Rachel McAdams, Amanda Bynes, Sophia Bush...

Lulu I completely agree with you. It is time that we as a society give up on the self distructive people and begin focusing on the good....cough cough...excuse me I am choking...cough cough..ok never mind what I said. I enjoy watching the self distruction, crazy half dressed photo's, no make up, and over all looney tunes these girls portray. Unfortunately, so does everyone else.
