CBS Season Kicks Off with Controversial Kid Nation

CBS' premiere-rollout plan is as follows, starting off with the reality series Kid Nation (which reportedly skirted child-labor laws by classifying the production as a "summer camp" and taking advantage of a loophole in New Mexico labor rules that has since been closed. Hey, at least these "campers" were able to dodge Paris and Nicole.)

For scads of CBS press-tour goss — including the current spin on Criminal Minds/Mandy Patinkin — see the Ausiello Report.

CBS is screwing over "Jericho" and it's fans. They rerun the first season so that people who didn't watch it to begin with can get caught up and then they put it aside to be used as a mid-season replacement show! After all the hoopla and us fans fighting so hard to bring it back, "Jericho" deserves to be a front runner show, not put off until mid-season. I will watch it no matter when it comes on but I fear that a lot of others may not.

Note to self: Deprogram CBS from your TIVO, at least until The Amazing Race comes back. How CBS beats NBC in the ratings just baffles me.

Anyway, I might be curious to see what Moonlight is like but with Angel still fresh in my mind and in my DVD collection I'll probably pass. Plus it's on opposite Friday Night Lights so...

My one major peeve about this site: unless you guys mention it, I can NEVER find the TV Lineup Preview Grid thing you guys do (where you have the new (and old) shows and where they will air by day in the new season). Help?

A state legislature closed a loophole in a law in just a few short months? Whew! Kid Nation must have really gotten someone's attention in a negative way.

Assorted stuff on Saturdays... that has ALWAYS irked me about the networks! There are some of us who don't go clubbing, and would LOVE to have something decent on tv to watch for a change!!
