CBS Renews Big Bang and Others, But No Mick or Mother (Yet)

CBS has announced it will be renewing The Big Bang Theory for another season, along with 10 others — albeit with a couple of conspicuous absences. Missing from the list, for the moment, are the newbie Moonlight, Rules of Engagement and The New Adventures of Old Christine.
Joining the flood of announcements from the 'nets on what's next, CBS added to the rush with its list. The shows that did get a thumbs-up include Cold Case, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Ghost Whisperer, NCIS, Numbers, Two and a Half Men and Without a Trace. The 11 renewals are on top of returning faves (and previously announced) Survivor and the Amazing Race.
In addition to all the great renewal news, CBS also issued a chart of when they're airing new eps of old faves. In the meantime, I'm relishing the open renewal floodgates. — Anna Dimond

Also missing "How I Met Your Mother", sadly probably be canceled , the suits at CBS better suit up, or a wrath will come their way

Oh this is just great. The two quality CBS shows I watch, How I Met Your Mother and Old Christine, are missing from the renewal list. Just fantastic.
Now I'm worried that those two shows will be fighting with Rules of Engagement and any new pilots that come along, meaning only one of these three will probably make it. Gah!

How could they not renew "Old Christine"? The show is hilarious and in my opinion the only really funny comedy on CBS. Yet they keep renewing dreck like "2 1/2 Men"? And the networks wonder why the audiences are leaving...

I don't understand how they can renew a show like The Big Bang Theory that has maybe 1 good joke in an episode if that and not renew a hilarious show like How I Met Your Mother. If HIMYM dies, so does the 30 minute comedy for me.

YAAAY for Big Bang and Ghost Whisperer! I enjoyed the earlier seasons of Two And A Half Men, but these later seasons, not affected either way.
BOOOO to absent Christine and How I Met Your Mother... if Rules, which I find only mediocre, gets renewed and Mother doesn't, it would be an outrage!!

What the He!ll is CBS's problem with not renewing Moonlight already. It won a frakking People's Choice award. Are they waiting for the planets to aline and the moon to turn red. Wake up CBS and smell the Hit! you have on your hands.
I am not surprised about How I Met Your Mother not being on the List because the Powers to be hate that show.

Don't watch Old Christine, but I'm a huge fan of Rules and Moonlight, so I'll be very sad if they don't make the cut.
I thought Moonlight was considered a hit??!

They renew The Big Bang Theory but not Moonlight (at least for now)?!
What are they waiting for? Why don't they realize they have a winner with PCA's Favorite New TV Drama? Are they waiting to see the ratings for the 4 new episodes? CBS, don't worry. The ratings will be fantastic.
Millions of rabidly loyal fans will be pissed if CBS doesn't renew Moonlight for a 2nd full season.

Come on. HIMYM is as classic as Friends! I look forward to this show every week...even the re-runs....and I've got the "Slap Bet" epi on my MySpace so I can watch it whenever I want to - you know those days when you need a pick me up! It just has to be picked up!
Not to mention the only reason they get me for Big Bang- which I could EASILY leave - is because its on my comdey line up with HIMYM and Men!
Make the right choice CBS!

I can't be the only one who finds Big Bang Theory unfunny, can I? Maybe I am. Not that I'm surprised CBS renewed it.
But Moonlight people, don't put too much faith into the People's Choice thing. Whether you liked it or hated it, "The Class" won one for best new comedy last season and it was still axed.
