Scoop! "Brilliant" Amy Madigan Guests on Saving Grace

Now that she has screwed Mer's head (mostly) on straight on Grey's Anatomy, Amy Madigan is teaming up with longtime gal pal Holly Hunter on the third Season 2 episode of TNT's Saving Grace. "She was kinda brilliant," Hunter says of Madigan's guest-star turn as the wife of a murdered cop. "She made me really step up to the plate."

Hunter and Madigan go back a ways, having previously costarred in the TV-movie Roe vs. Wade (1989). To reunite on Grace, Hunter says, "was such a privilege because she's been a friend of mine for years. And to play opposite her... she was so electrifying!" — Matt Mitovich, with reporting by Erin Fox

I know I'm looking forward to seeing Saving Grace come back and Madigan seems like a good fit to me.

I absolutely adore Saving Grace. I don't even know why, but I found myself awaiting each episode last summer with this euphoric glee - and as much as I love television, that doesn't usually happen. I'm looking forward to seeing Amy Madigan on it.

I think Amy will be great on this show. She and Holly are two bad @ss chicks and I can't wait to see it. Now if Amy's husband, Ed Harris wants to make an appearance too, I am cool with that! Can't wait for The Closer, Saving Grace and Burn Notice to come back!
