Casting About: Jamie Kennedy Goes... Bionic?!

OK, now this sounds funny: Per the Hollywood Reporter, in the Fox pilot Me & Lee?, Jamie Kennedy will play a guy whose aches and pains are are cured when he undergoes "bionic" back surgery in the basement of Six Million Dollar Man star Lee Majors' Bev Hills mansion. According to the plot, Farrah's ex — who'll play himself — built a secret lab down there after his series work left him fixated on bionics.

In other casting news, Tom Wilkinson and David Morse have been added to the ensemble cast of HBO's John Adams miniseries, in which Paul Giamatti plays the second U.S. prez. Wilkinson will play ol' Ben Franklin; Morse, George Washington.

Every so often, I see a premise that deserves a smile even if the end result is cringe-worthy.

The idea of Lee Majors having a real bionic lab in his basement is just plain fun!

The show will probably be unwatchable, but I have to give someone credit for coming up with an interesting concept!

I agree, it sounds like a hoot - maybe they can have them battle Fembots for sweeps

They did a somewhat similar episode on Jake 2.0 guest-staring Lee Majors who had some "work" done!

OK, this does sound hilarious, but I just have one question:

What are they going to do for Episode 2? And 3, and 4?

I just don't see the series being as funny as the premise. But, as I always say, we'll find out...
