Britney Spears Released, Lutfi Enlists Image Help

Britney Spears today left the UCLA psych ward, where she had been receiving treatment for the past week.

The pop star slipped out quietly with the aid of private security officers, in stark contrast to the near-motorcade that accompanied her to the hospital last week.

In the meantime, a legal turf war has developed regarding control of Spears' finances and estate, and a restraining order was established against Sam Lutfi, Brit's manager. Lutfi, however, isn't taking things lying down. It seems he's hired media guru Michael Sands to help "set the record straight" about him. And yes, if that sounds familiar, that's the same Michael Sands who was a consultant for Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Kaplan.

Despite the potential conflict of interest, Lutfi told TMZ that "Michael did his research and found the truth." — Anna Dimond

Let's hope "The Treatment" is ongoing and not a one-time deal because if it is well.....well see her back again in about a month. Or maybe sooner.
Should we get a pool going?

I'm in for 2 weeks.

:( bummer, i guess she missed the paparazzi more than i thought...
i had high hopes that she would do the two weeks extension, and how it would benefited her and her family,

and us viewers not to hear any train-wreck tale on a daily basis about britney , it's not like it was a motnh stay like rehab, but just a break from and for the media would have been nice,

i was already thinking , finally there's some positive movement in the right direction...
i just hope the restriction order against sam lufti isnt lifted or her father's legal gestion of his daughter..i truly think she missed an opportunity here..
well guess we'll see whether we want to or not where this all goes from here

I hope the psych ward did her some good. But I do have a feeling that this won't be the last time she enters the psych ward.

What happened to her supposedly going to be in there for 2 more weeks? A ruse to make the photogs go away?

So much for the hope of receiving treatment and recovering at home. She's already back to her routine of driving aimlessly around town with her paparazzi pals snapping away (sigh....)

I'd be surprise if she makes it a week.

I really hope Britney gets the help she needs. It sounds like getting her away from her manager is a step in the right direction. He looks like a thug. But can anyone tell me if her parents are reliable? I heard she didn't want her dad in charge of her affairs. Are the parents trustworthy or not?

WTH????? Something isn't right about this. Are Spears Company pulling the wool over everyone's eyes, in that Britney isn't really that sick at all? Or is her doctor being paid off to let her go so soon? How could she be ready to go home? And did I see a picture of her (on another website) in her own car, driving herself???? Perhaps we don't know the half of it on what conditions they released her. Regardless if she likes it or not, her damn parents better be staying with her at her house. I have a feeling, though, we'll be seeing video of Britney driving around aimlessly smiling for her friends, the papparazi, by tomorrow morning, or at least tomorrow eveing. ON a positive note, those hangers-on are gone from the picture; at least temporarily.

What happened to the two week extension by the court for her stay in the psych ward? And seems it was only a few days ago that a court appointed attorney was saying she was not aware of what things meant and her father was made conservator of her affairs, now she is let out and driving around? Something is really off about this whole thing. You can bet she will be back to her usual bizarre behavior and we will be back to hearing about it every day. There is no way she could have gotten better so fast mentally. There really is no hope for this person if court orders are not held to and she does not get the treatment she really needs.

I think the "drug" she is addicted to is having all those people following her around. There is nothing wrong with her except the fact that she does not have the career that she used to have. I am watching her drive around Los Angeles with all the photogs chasing her like a bitch in heat. Britney! MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Get out of LA and leave us alone. I feel sorry for the people who live in her area.

Is anyone REALLY shocked? I loved the affadavit the father filled out....how confused she was....How she didn't know WHO put her in the hospital.....THis girl is one sick puppy. She will never sell records like she did. She'll never tour again....THe best thing we can all do is never pick up another thing she's in, on, or assicated WITH. Then she will learn about yanking the public around.

Put her back. If she and her ilk are kept out of the limelight, people might wise up and realize there are IMPORTANT issues going on.

Ok People...enough of your negative crap about Britney.

Thank God someone finally figured out who was drugging her...IT is unbelievable to me that people can still believe that she is bipolar and it is her parents fault. Her issues our all drug induced for everyone else's gain EXCEPT Britney's.

YES IT IS GOING TO BE A BACK AND FORTH NIGHTMARE FOR HER. HER BODY ISN'T going to heal over night nor her mind.

She will get through it and it will be hard for her. And she can sing better than any of you critics...not to mention God gave her beauty to go along with her angelic voice...and all you can do is spew hate, and igorance. This is a tragic criminal attempted murder. Her manager was playing a game and the game was to make Brittany crazy...take her money...and have her OD...how many records would he have sold and made commission? IT IS SICK. WE all need to WAKE UP...Brittany is a VICTIM...LEAVE HER ALONE... PRAY FOR HER...and for all of our sakes I hope she puts out an album the hits number 1 of all time...just to shame you all for falling for this obvious scheme employed by her manager. JUST WATCH I DARE YOU!

PS...if for some reason this gets to her family...way to go...it will take time...and it will seem unbelievable to Brit that these people close to her where lieing to her and hurting her...but they have no guilt or shame and they will try to convince her it is her family and not them...but she has to listen to her heart and remember that her parents may want her money just like any one else that is human but they love her and gave birth to her...they will choose Britney's well being over her money.

My sister-in-law and I are both mothers of grown daughters. She called me the other day and expressed sadness at the whole Britney situation. Whatever else Britney is, she's a human being first, with human foibles. I don't excuse her erratic and irresponsible behavior...but she is mentally ill and in desperate need of ongoing, uninterrupted and intensive treatment. I sat in stunned silence tonight, watching the local news, at the scene of the animals that call themselves paparrazi who literally jumped in front of her car as it was moving down the street, flashing their cameras in her face and climbing over each other to position their shots. It made me sick. I wish Britney well and pray she comes through this dreadful time, for her own sake as well as that of her family's.
