Britney Phones It In, Lashes Out at "Cruel World"
Britney Spears by Alexandra Wyman/WireImage.com
When La Spears called Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show yesterday to plug her new album, she insisted that it didn't bother her that a lot of folks think there are hobos who would make better parents than her. "It's sad how people... how cruel our world can be," she drawled. "But at the end of the day, you gotta know in your heart that you are doing the best that you can." Bless him, Seacrest then asked the obvious follow-up: Um, are you doing your best with your sons? "Oh god, yeah, yeah," she answered, sending a shudder through Child Protective Services case workers everywhere. But, according to TMZ.com, she had no idea when she would next be seeing her young'uns. "My lawyers know about all that," she said, then, the website noted, passed the phone to her gal pals and hopped in the shower. Comeback of the year, gang. Comeback of the year. — Ben Katner

Just another indication that she really doesn't want custody of her kids. I think the only reason she is appearing to make this much of an effort is for whatever fans she still has left.

Wasn't it reported somewhere that BS would call the press and tell them where she was going to be, so that they would show up? Poor child probably never got attention at home. She lashes out at Cruel World? Wait until she has to deal with her two sons in adolescence after what she has put them through. You talk about cruel world. There's an old saying where I come from, Children do as they see, not as they're told. BS, you are a joke. Maybe you can get a job at Disney World as a new ride? Sounds like you've had experience it that. Get out of the public eye and get your act together. Please don't try to sing, you never could. All you had going for you back when was JT. He has since tried to help you, but you blew that chance. You're running out of options, girl. People are wising up to your antics. I used to pity you, not anymore, you are bringing all this on yourself and you were too stupid not to use birth control, or did you think the children would sell more for you than your CD's. You're a has been, good bye and good luck. I just hope when you're out partying and drinking and driving that you don't take some innocent family or individual with you. You disgust me and I'll never understand why you get all the publicity that you get. You look like a scag ho all the time, you would think that you could at least take a shower and brush your wig/hair and I wonder how many STD's you have by now? Just disgusting. You will regret this behavior if you live through it. Those poor children, I don't know how you sleep at night or can look at yourself in a mirror. Maybe that's the drug issue, you can't stand yourself??? I am sick, sick, sick of you.

britney needs to grow up and act like an adult instead of a spoiled brat and then she could get her boys back.

Can't comment about her new record because I have no desire to purchase it. As for her parenting ways, she'd be best to just give up the kids (either to K-Fed, her Mom, or anyone else who knows HOW to raise children properly). It's not a sin to not enjoy motherhood, but it IS a sin (IMO) to raise them out of control, as she herself is.

Let's look at the good things. Britney takes showers. I must say that was a surprize. She always looks a bit dirty. Humm, sorry, that is the only good thing I can think of. Now for the "cruel world." Only someone as hard and uncaring as Britney would think that the world's caring about the welfare of those two babies is cruel. About her new album: Britney's voice is so electronically altered that anyone could sound as good. Kudos should go to the others who wrote the songs and did everything. Brit says she "helped write three songs. Yeah, sure.

It really saddens me that in a world as free as ours that we abuse our 1st amendment right of free speech to spew hateful things about people we will probably never meet. Yes, we are all entitled to our own opinion but as my mother taught me, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". The luxury of anonymity on the interet has bred a generation of cruel hatemongers. If you don't care for a person's music, then don't purchase it. If you don't care for their public personas then stop reading about them. I doubt that anyone would actually say these ugly things to someone's face (famous or otherwise), besides, it's very doubtful that she would ever even read this blog (please resist all jokes about her literacy, that is not what I'm saying); so directing a comment "to her" is really rather pointless. Does she incite such anger that random people feel the need to "vent" about their frustrations about her "to her" on an anonymous site???? Just a thought.

creolemommie - talk about the pot calling the kettle black! You are as equally incensed at people you've never met who are also practicing their free speech rights. Sure, people have the right to speak their mind about a celebrity who flaunts her every failure and mistake. Did you see what she wore for Halloween? I'm surprised she wasn't arrested for solicitation!
The girl is a mess and needs a slap of reality to wake her up.

You have to forgive Brittney. She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and the silver wore off of coated her brain cells and not she can't think. The poor girl should be institutionalized for the rest of her life.
