Brangelina's Son Gets a New Name
What's in a name? Apparently a lot in the eyes of happily unmarried lovebirds Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Today a Santa Monica court legally changed the couple's newishly adopted son Pax Thien's moniker to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, says People.com. The 3-year-old now shares the same surname as his siblings, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh. When does the hyphenating end? — Reporting by Raven Snook

Nope. Never. Brangelina can break up, but the kids have two parents for life. I can't seen either Angelina or Brad walking away from the kids, no matter what happens between the two of them.
Plus, there are some fabulous unmarried, but longterm, couples out there: Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, for example. Who's to say this isn't another one?

At least they are hyphenating two shorter names. I have a hyphenated name and it doesn't fit on lines - like check signature lines.

So he's had a perfectly good name - FOR THREE YEARS - and they decide that they need to change it. I picture a tell-all book in about 20 years titled "I know my first name ISN"T Pax".

rexmundi - Actually, the kid's real name was Pham Quang Sang and she changed it to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.
Not that much of a difference, but the "Jolie-Pitt" will get him into better clubs restaurants in Hollywood in a few years!
