Brady Bunch Star's Bio Not a Kiss-Jan-and-Tell

Apparently it's not the story of two bi-curious girls named Brady. Though Maureen McCormick's forthcoming autobiography, Here's the Story, is chockablock with revelations relating to the actress' struggles with eating disorders, drug addiction and depression, it does not address any sort of Sapphic experimentation between her and Brady Bunch sis Eve Plumb. Addressing a story that hit the Internet last week and claimed that the book chronicles an on-set affair between Mo and Plumb, the book's publisher tells ABC News, "We are verifying that it is not true."

As for the truth about what used to transpire between Tiger and Kitty Carry-all in the doghouse... let's not go there.

"Here's the story" is how Greg (Barry Williams) signed his book for me "Growing up Brady"

Yes - I am a Brady geek - I used to want to be Marcia :)

Mo McCormick was fantastic in Celebrity Fit Club! What a nice lady she is (and I don't think it was just editing). She's 50 and fabulous and very human. Just the kind of person you'd want to meet for coffee every week. B-)

brian73107: "The most disturbing two words of this post? ABC News."

Yeah, considering the modern news media, it's hard not to imagine this story coming down something like this:

Seceretary: "Mr. News Executive, there's a reporter here with some important facts and footage about the War in Iraq, who says he..."

News Executive: "Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Tell him to come back Thursday. No, wait, tell him don't call us, we'll call him."

Secereatry: "Uh, okay. There's also this woman out here who says she has something about...uh, lesbianism on the Brady Bunch, but I'll just tell her to..."

News Executive: "Wait! Wait! Send her right in!"

Way to make your publication just another piece of garbage.

Why would you report this story like it's true? If anything, you should get a copy of the book and read it to find out before you waste time gossiping about it. If, in the book, it does say that the girls were involved, then fine, report it all you want. Instead, you take a hint of a rumor and report it as possible fact until it is unproven. How typical. Sure, your publication is only about television, but do you have to be so trashy?

Must be, HAS to be, a slow newsweek. This tops the list of all time lame discussions.
