Biggest Loser viewers to vote on third finalist - Today's News: Our Take

The Biggest Loser by Trae Patton/NBC Looks like viewers will be tasked to decide one more reality show contestant's fate. At the end of the April 8 episode of NBC's The Biggest Loser, producers will call upon "America" to pick the third finalist competing for the weight-loss competition's $250,000 prize. As of that next-to-last episode, four dieters will remain. The two who drop the most pounds that week will be guaranteed spots in the finale. The two who lose the least — falling below the show's infamous "yellow" line — will be left to pray people care enough to vote them into a spot in the live finale, airing April 15. I think this is the fair way to go. Someone could lose a lot of weight and get voted off unfairly if they are not in an alliance.

So those guys have been sitting around for MONTHS waiting for this episode to air so we can vote on the third finalist? That has to suck. Why is the number of finalists different each season? Anyway, the tweak doesn't bother me...it's no more or less fair then the contestants voting and as the poster above said, those alliances are tricky.

I just hope those two brothers don't make it to the finale... They're supposed to be the tough, competitive guys - they're a bunch of cry-babies... And that "Pride on three" is so annoying... I hope Roger, Dan and Ali/Kelly are the finalists...

Why not just give the prize to Mark? He seems to be the one the producers are rooting for. And that Pride on three thing is sooo annoying.

Can I vote Brittany and Bernie back in?? Roger has been even more annoying than Mark recently, so I guess Dan by default for me amongst the guys. And I'm still not sure on Ali. We'll see what happens I guess.

I'm sure rooting for Kelly. She and Britanny were my favorite contestants right from the beginning. On the other hand I really hope Ali doesn't get to the finale. She seems too cold and calculating. I know, it's kind of what the game is about but I simple cannot relate to her personality.

Very interesting!!! They should have gotten rid of Roger weeks ago. He is a threat. I hope the final 3 are Kelly, Dan and Jay. Jay was so much better when Mark was not there. Mark is loud and a game player.

Great twist but there are only two contestants left that I like, Alli and Kelly. Dan is the worst. I find him smug and arrogant. As long as he doesn't win I guess I don't care who wins.

I agree. Dan is soooo arrogant and sooo full of himself. I don't want to see Mark in the finals. I think when he got voted off, he should have stayed off. Now I think I'd prefer Roger and Alli. But I was hoping for Bernie and Brittany too. Oh well, as long as it's not the "Water works Bros." I end up just laughing the whole time because they are acting like they're never gonna see each other again...it's ridiculous!

Very sad to find out that the final 3 contestants on a show titled "The Biggest Loser" may very well come down to a popularity contest.

This is very disappointing to see how the show has been edited & manipulated against women this season but very satisfying to see that 2 women are in the Final 3. Go Jillian!! I like both coaches but Season 5 could have been so much better without the "pride" cheers from the guys. Its 2008 y'all!! not 1908!!

The producers should brainstorm not how to disappoint viewers - this year could have been your best. Stop making Jillian look like a baddie!! Quit picking on the female contestants too - like Brittany - it is far more difficult for women (based on science) to lose weight than men - therefore the 2 Black team members have actually outperformed Blue!! Also Canadian would have like to have been able to vote on the outcome of the final 3!!

I like weighing in on a show that I've dedicated so much of my viewing time to.

I think most "die-hard" fans really do have the info to "weigh-in" with their choices.

The I think that the men have cried more this season than the women! What's with that??? I thought that I liked men who were not afraid to show emotion to the point of crying, but I changed my mind!!! If the "Cry on 3" team is any indication of how the flood gates can't be closed once men start up, then I now think that it is good to socialize males not to CRY!

Somebody please help me out and tell me the jist of what happened tonite. I had to miss it and I'm FREAKING OUT not knowing how things went...

I don't like this twist at all, the girls earned the right to vote off their biggest competition, so I went ahead voted for Roger to go (sorry Roger). Personally I think there should be a male and female winner.

yesss I think Roger should be voted off. He was very nice at first but as of lately he's been too cocky. ( I hate that ) plus he's the biggest threat. now Mark started off being irratating and now he's a nice guy. good job Mark !! I think Alli and Kelly have done an Amazing job !! way to go Ladies !! How do I vote?
