A&E Network has ordered 13 episodes of The Cleaner, which will be the first scripted original series on the cable channel's airwaves in more than six years. The series stars Benjamin Bratt as real-life "extreme interventionist" William Banks who, after reaching his drug-addicted low, makes a deal with God — to earn his second chance by swaying others from their lives of addiction.

Claiming the series will set itself apart from other crime and lawyer shows, A&E executive VP/general manager Bob DeBitetto describes it as "one of our real crown jewels." Production should get under way soon, with an anticipated summer premiere. — Adam Bryant

Why is "The Cleaner" not shown on the list of summer TV programs? The original premiere date was July 15, but the show does not come up on my DVR and not listed on the summer show list. What is up?
