If you're into presidential candidates, tonight is your night. Sen. Barack Obama appears on Late Show with David Letterman (11:35 pm/ET, CBS) to present the Top Ten list. This will be Obama's fourth appearance on Late Show.

Sen. Hillary Clinton also makes a national TV appearance, in a sit-down with Bill O'Reilly on the O'Reilly Factor (8 pm/ET, Fox News).

The candidates' appearances come less than a week before Tuesday's pivotal Indiana and North Carolina primaries. — J.R. Whalen

Update: As delivered Thursday night, "Top Ten Surprising Things About Barack Obama":

10. My first act as President will be to stop the fighting between Lauren and Heidi on The Hills.

9. In the Illinois primary, I accidentally voted for Kucinich.

8. When I tell my kids to clean their room, I finish with, "I'm Barack Obama and I approved this message."

7. Throughout high school, I was consistently voted "Barackiest."

6. Earlier today I bowled a 39.

5. I have cancelled all my appearances the day the Sex and the City movie opens.

4. It's the birthplace of Fred Astaire. (Sorry, that's a surprising fact about Omaha)

3. We are tirelessly working to get the endorsement of Kentucky Derby favorite Colonel John.

2. This has nothing to do with the Top Ten, but what the heck is up with Paula Abdul?

1. I have not slept since October.

Holy crap! I just watched O'Reilly's shout-fest of an interview, and I must say, even if I was a die-hard, right-wing Reaganite I'd be embarrassed to think of him speaking for my party. Absolutely no respect for a major presidential candidate; talking over her, telling her why her points-of-view are wrong, and generally putting forth his own agenda as opposed to getting answers to enable the voter to make an informed decision.

Quite the Fair and Balanced "journalist" he is. Sheesh.

bmp956, have you watched O'Reilly before? That's generally par for the course with him. I used to watch him for the sheer entertainment value during late night paper writing marathons in college, but he wears thin very quickly.

In response to Obama's top 10 list, I bowled a 14 once. Really.

Dianora, I have seen His High(as in he must be)ness before, even back in the day when he first started out as a semi-legitimate tv journalist on A Current Affair. I knew what to expect, but still I thought he'd hold back a little considering who his subject was and the importance of her appearance. Silly me.

The way he behaved, it sure makes me scratch my head when I hear his devotees flip-out at the way that Letterman took him to task a while back. From what I saw Dave just gave him a taste of his own medicine (albeit with actual logical thought processes).

I thought the Top Ten was kinda lame, to tell the truth. Not a reflection on the presenter though, just the material.

And may I suggest inflatable gutter-bumpers the next time your at the lanes?;)
