Balthazar Getty Confirms "Painful" Split from Wife

Balthazar Getty has publicly acknowledged that he and his wife, Rosetta, are splitting up. His public statement comes days after photos of him and a topless Sienna Miller surfaced across magazines and the 'net. The photos clearly document a "more than friends" type of dynamic, in which the pair are kicking back on a boat off the Amalfi coast.
In a statement, the Brothers & Sisters actor said, "The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience, especially when children are involved. In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the Internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes, indeed, my wife and I have separated."

What a pig. Embarrassed? Then he should kept his PDA in the bedroom, not on a yacht. Sienna is a constant fixture in the tabloids, so he had to be aware of that and know he would be photographed with her. He is just being a jerk and inconsiderate to his family, especially to his kids.

Don't you just love it when a guy dumps the wife who stuck with him through the darkest parts of his life and into the brightest? Particularly when it's for a flavor of the week party girl. He'd really cleaned up his image, so that his personal life no longer overshadowed is career. Now this

How long before he has to discuss the "painful" split from Brothers & Sisters, if the rumors swirling are true? Since I don't know himj, his wife or their relationship, I'm not going to pass judgment on that aspect of this but if the rumors are true, he may soon be wifeless and jobless.

olay123, yes, she was (one?) of the reasons Jude and his wife split. Sienna is also a pig, but it takes two to tango. And I equate Getty as being the worse out of the two of them because he decided to act like a teenage boy in front of cameras despite what his kids might hear or see.

From what have seen and read him and his wife have been split for some time. I'm not a fan of his so don't assume I am because of this but U don't know the story so don't judge until you do.

I won't comment on the split with his wife- after all we don't know how long they've been split up. But I will say that being photgraphed kissing a topless Sienna Miller while you say "The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience, especially when children are involved" doesn't make the most sense. If you were so concerned about your children, you wouldn't/shouldn't do something so stupid like hooking up with a tabloid queen like Sienna. I believe he has children that are old enough to possibly see these pictures and that's just sad.

Hey, Bal -- let's be clear hear. YOU caused your family embarrassment.
And I don't care that he and his wife were separated or how long they had been separated.
Until he is LEGALLY DIVORCED, a married man with four children should not be having sleazy dalliances on Italian yachts.
What a scumbag. And Sienna Miller is now a confirmed skank.
