Bai Ling Blames Shoplifting Arrest on Valentine's Woes

Blame it on the man, sure! Bai Ling says an "emotionally crazy" day fueled by romantic woes culminated in her unsuccessfully pinching $16 worth of celebrity glossies (and batteries, hmmm...) from an LAX gift shop. "[That's the] huge problem of breaking up [before] Valentine's Day," Ling told E! News on Thursday, the day after her arrest. "Wrong boyfriend." A friend of the actress (whose recent TV credits include Lost and Entourage) adds, "She was in... a mentally unstable state of mind.... She was distracted."

Ling is due in court March 5 to face charges. (Can we double security on the courthouse newsstand?)

Gee, when I have an emotionally crazy day shopping, not shopLIFTING, makes me feel better. Obviously blaming her boyfriend was just a poor excuse for bad behaviour that is probably chronic, as celebrities feel they are deserving of freebies whereever and whenever....unfortunately for her, she got caught this time.

I DO always wonder, "Who IS she?" whenever I read about her. More infamous than famous, and not even very good at THAT, it seems.

Honestly, to me, she is a nobody - I've never heard of her before today and her picture is totally unfamiliar to me...and believe me, I am a huge fan of TV and the movies so I know (mostly, apparently) who's who.

Obviously with 7 films in the can, money was not the issue, just entitlement. Gosh, sometimes I just hate those people!!!!

I agree Buffy Freak, that WAS the worst episode of Lost.

how weird is this? i actually WITNESSED this whole debacle! it was right by LAX's Gates #6 and #7. and never in a million years did i think it would make the news! dang...i coulda given an "exclusive"
