"Retiring" Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas and fiancé Jesse Csincsak are making it extra-official, having launched DeAnnaandJesse.com, a web home where they hope to share "family news and precious memories... for years to come."

Among the first "sharings" is a confirmation of the couple's wedding date — May 9, 2009 — as well as a location: The Bahamas, because "that is the place where [we] really fell in love."

DeAnna and Jesse (DeJesse?) are currently traveling, then will spend their "summers in Atlanta, Ga., and their winters... in Breckenridge, Col." The other two seasons of the typical year? Gravy. — Matt Mitovich

Which Bachelors and Bachelorettes Have Found Love?

Okay, I didn't watch the show but I'm curious what these two do for a living that they can just pick up and live where they want to, whenever they want to? Do they get paid that much to be on The Bachelor/Bachelorette? Seems like after the shows you hear about former contestants who supposedly lead normal lives as teachers, dance instructors, accountants, etc., showing up at the Kentucky Derby, going to movie premieres, travelling extensively. Really, just curious......

I do watch the shows and I was wondering the same thing when I heard about them spending summers in Atlanta and winters in CO??? Jessie is a professional snowboarder and she is a real estate agent-so how on earth can she make a living just moving all over the place?? Normally, the bachelor is very wealthy and the girl moves to his town, blah, blah. Anyway, I dont think this one will last more than 1 year-doubt the wedding will even take place!

Wasn't Ryan Sutter on some months-long African safari before he and Trista Ren's child was born? On a fireman's salary?

Anyway, I dont think this one will last more than 1 year-doubt the wedding will even take place!

The whole notion behind the show is flawed - it assumes A) out of those 25 people, the Bachelor/ette will certainly fall in love with at least one, and B) that s/he will fall in love within that short time frame, and C) they've explored enough issues to know that they're REALLY compatible.

The whole giddy feeling when you meet someone new is like an intoxicating drug that makes you think that they're perfect and everything will be all roses and happiness. But then real life kicks in (always AFTER the final rose show) and you realize, "Whoops, s/he's a real person."

Put me in a room with 25 guys and it's really questionable whether I'll actually fall in love with any of them - and it's even more questionable whether I'll be able to focus on learning about any one of them enough to make that determination when I also have to get to know a whole bunch of other guys at the same time.

Of course, I might just be a cold, cranky woman. :D

No, you're just sane.

LMAO, I'm glad SOMEONE thinks so!

When sharing these complaints with friends who adore the show, I've been told by them that I'm just not romantic enough and obviously don't believe in true love.

We were talking about this at work (slow morning) and someone said that if they stay together more than a year, they receive at least 1 million dollars. Is this true?

Also, like American Idol who has a contract with the contestants, does ABC have contracts with them? Maybe that's how they can be at movie premieres, on talk shows, etc.

It may last, due to the fact, DeAnna was determined to show the world she would find her soulmate. LOL Jesse will stick around because he's in shock that a girl as pretty as DeAnna would actually marry him. LOL Two misfits!!!!
