Will Arnett Brings Knight Rider's Three KITTs to Life

Jack Donaghy is going to have something to say about this. Not being a gearhead, the most interesting thing I culled from NBC's press release about the Knight Rider relaunch movie premiering Feb. 17 is that Alec Baldwin's gravelly voiced 30 Rock rival, Will Arnett, will take the baton from William Daniels and speak for KITT. Or make that the KITTs, as the Transformers-esque update boasts not one but three supercars: a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR as "everyday hero" KITT; the KITT Attack, aka a high-speed version of the GT500KR featuring "air-ride technology and specialized body parts"; and KITT Remote, which is driverless (akin to having Lindsay behind the wheel).

It's also confirmed that David Hasselhoff will return as Michael Knight in "a special guest-star appearance."

This show is going to tank right from the beginning. "The Bionic Woman" had some potential but this isn't even going to be close. I just cannot picture KITT as a Mustang for one thing, and now without William Daniels' voice in it, it just wont be Knight Rider. Wilton Knight and Devon Miles must be turning over in their graves right now. I give it 15 minutes after the show starts before it's cancelled.

Aren't all of the KITT models able to funcion without drivers?

the only good thing about this movie would be Will Arnett's voice

Well remember, it's just a one-off TV movie for now. So if anything, the movie will tank. We'll have to wait and see about the series ;)

But I'm looking forward to it. Should be fun, and that's all I'm really looking for in a Knight Rider sequel/update/"reimagining." After Bionic Woman, I've learned not to hope for Battlestar Galactica type greatness in sci-fi remakes lol

I have to say, I think this is a huge waste of Will Arnett's talent.

I'm disappointed that this new KITT doesn't transform into a Segway. ]<img border=">

achyfakey is right. Kitt has always been able to drive itself. Does that mean its devolving?:)

Also, Kitt's advanced features was a GPS like capability. Um, the average driver has that now. What are they going to do to make it more advanced???

This sequel/new-gen Knight Rider does not appear to take itself too serious and just might strike the right tone to be a hit TV show. I have to say that I'm somewhat thrilled about the prospect of a new Knight Rider series. It all really just depends on how charming this new lead guy is and I do like that they replaced Mr. Feeney with GOB as the voice of KITT.

Why is it that sometimes, a story like this one that is dated for yesterday will show up in the middle of stories that are dated today, so as I'm scrolling down I get to a story I've read and think I'm at the end of today's news just to find that there is more today's news below yesterday's news? Really curious because it happens fairly often.
