Angelina to Tackle the Stay-at-Home Mom Thing
Speaking to reporters at the Cannes Film Festival — presumably when she wasn't joining Jude Law in wondering, "Why is Jessica Simpson here?" — Angelina Jolie said that some four months after she wraps her current project, the thriller Wanted, "Then I take a year off" from filmmaking, to focus on family.
The announcement drove stock in African orphanages up 45 cents a share.
Now if only a certain animated Amy would follow suit....

I thought it was funny, Matt! I know Angelina "gives back," but there are many, many people who could use some time off to focus on family and can't afford to do so! Why make a show of saying anything? Isn't that a private matter?
And stars wonder why the press won't leave them alone!

I think it's a great idea... this way her only biological child won't be separated from her and taken care of on set by Brad which just baffles me. Hopefully she can give all her children equal attention now

Matt - I think your comments are hilarious. I read your column regularly and enjoy your sense of humor/snarkiness.
I think Angelina's probably a good mom but something about her constantly talking about it bugs me. I'm a stay at home mom of 3 and there's just something about her that seems off to me. I'd like to see where she, Brad & her kids are in 5 or 10 years. I'm just not convinced she's the angel everyone seems to think she is.

Applebee's irritating cartoon character that keeps popping up on the sight. I would love to know what would make a company think that being annoying is the way to get customers.
