American Idol: Your Tune-in Schedule... After This

Don't plan those dinner parties, bar mitzvahs or C-sections just yet. First, take a look at (and print out, if you are truly hardcore) these first few key dates for the upcoming season of your American Idol.

Tuesday, Jan. 15, and Wednesday, Jan. 16: Two-part season premiere

Jan. 22, 23, 29 and 30, Feb. 5 and 6: Audition episodes

Feb. 13: Hollywood round, Part 2 (top 24 announced)

Feb 15: First finalist haunted by rap sheet

Feb. 19: First homoerotic subtext-laden exchange between Simon and Ryan

Feb. 21: First results show (two males, two females booted)

Feb 25: Photos surface online of a female finalist frolicking semi-naked in the lap of the Lincoln memorial statue

Feb 26: Randy trots out a new catchphrase (à la "Bring the yo")

March 4: Paula involved in freak at-home accident

March 6: Results show (top 12 revealed)

haha. That's usually how the seasons go.

If they are still gonna let contestants play instruments this season, I might actually watch. I really don't like to watch people just stand and sing. Playing a guitar or something is so much more interesting and entertaining. (probably 1 of the reasons I liked rockstar so much more than idol)

i cant wait for the new season! i heard they will not have too many guest mentors this season which should be a big improvement (i thought they were completely unecessary). and paula is looking very good btw

I can tell you why I will be watching this show ... b/c there will be no NEW scripted programming! Darn strike!
