American Idol Judges to Britney: Help Us Help You!

American Idol triumvirate Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul have reached out to Britney Spears, offering to collectively manage the further-fallen popstress' careening career. "We have decided we can bring Britney back," Cowell tells Fox News, stressing, "We are serious. We plan to buy her some underpants, get her bigger shorts to perform in, and get her away from her stupid friends." (Quite the ambitious trifecta, if you ask me.) "MTV ratings are up," notes Cowell, "and all we're hearing is 'Britney, Britney, Britney!' She can turn it around."

Adds Randy, "We'd love to take care of you, Spears! We will make you a superstar again!"

Britney's reaction to the overture... after the break.

It was a joke, right?
She won't listen to ANYBODY ~ Why would they think she would listen to them? They are just sucking some publicity out of her situation just like everyone else.
As if anyone would accept help from people blatantly insulting her.
For the record ~ I am not a Brit fan but sometimes I really feel bad for her. She is in a bad place and most of the time I laugh at how she just keeps digging her hole deeper & deeper. But it is not going to be funny if she kills herself. It's getting kind of scary.

Britney's reaction to the overture... after the break.

Now that was funny!:^O

So, in addition to JT, Timberland, and others in the music biz that want to help Britney, now we've got the AI trio. Wonder when the intervention's gonna take place?

Well Paula can help Britney with one thing-where to score some great mind and mood altering drugs.

Paula and Britney have very similar musical careers. Both were fire hot for a while without being able to really sing a lick. Perhaps Brit ends up as a judge on AI in about 20 years?

Well, Britney, you KNOW you're in need of a wakeup call when Paula Abdul is telling you you're a mess!

Britney does not need help reestablishing her career. She needs help reestablishing her mental and emotional well-being. Her mind continues to deteriorate as she's obsessed with being the huge star that she once was, and everyone who keeps telling her "we'll help you be a star again" is furthering the damage. She's not going to be able to fix Britney Spears The Human Being until she gets her focus off of Britney Spears The Media Image. The American Idol judges or anyone else who says otherwise is no help at all. Go on -- help her dig that grave.

Good Lord, who's next? Kirstie Alley, Valerie Bertinelli and Jenny Craig? I do believe in order to get help--you have to ask for it....this seems as genuine as fake cheese.

I am not an active viewer of AI, but my wife is, so I do watch it when she does. I have thought that it would be interesting if they had a 'celebrity edition' with current pop singers. I know it would be impractical because it would be a popularity contest not a talent contest (of course that still could be said). I've always thought that if someone who sounds like Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Jannis Joplin, or anyone from a Heavy Metal band wouldn't even get past the audition phase.

But about Brit, she could be brought in as maybe a mentor/trainer giving her some exposure (in a good way this time).

I'm no Simon fan but if anyone can whip her career back into shape, he can.

She won't accept, though, b/c that'll mean admitting that she needs help and in her warped mind, she's doing fine.

Hey PatMc, you've given me an idea for a new show! It's 'rehab meets The Love Boat'! Every week, another trio of has-beens stage a Britney intervention (a Brintervention!!!). Next week, it can be Carol Channing, Mickey Rooney and Charo! Paris Hilton can be the cruise director and K-Fed can be Gopher! 50 Cent can be Isaac the bartender (just standing behind the bar, laughing at her) and Phil McGraw can be Doc.

Hmmm...that leaves Captain Stubing. Well, I'm sure Gavin McLeod's not busy...

Britney has to want to change her life, unless she's past hope. She's gonna go like Anna Nicole.... under controversy, lies and lawsuits.

Only thing that could help her now is amnesia:

"I'm a pop star? Am I good?"

Hey TV Gord--He's a bit young but what about Tom Cruise as Stubing? (He does seem to be quite knowledgeable about certain issues, 'cough, cough');)

The comments here are almost as funny as Simon thinking the AI trio can actually help anybody. Well you guys are cracking me up so I guess you're funnier but seriously, how in the WORLD is Paula going to help anybody's singing career? That's so bizarre.

I could never bring myself to watch Hey Paula but I used to see the previews for it while I was watching something else and I couldn't understand why ANYBODY would let her expose how much of a hot mess she is!

I say we throw them both on a reality show and see how losers of different generations relate to each other.

Can you imagine the scintillating conversation.....?
