AMC Is Still Feeling Bad

AMC, which a while ago greenlit a second season for Mad Men, now has also ordered another round of its other original drama series, Breaking Bad. Announcing the pickup, network exec VP/GM Charlie Collier says, "From critical praise to strong ratings and a devoted audience, Breaking Bad further reinforced AMC as a top producer of high-quality, distinctive television."

Breaking Bad is a pretty good show, and it's too bad that the first season was cut short by the strike.

Kudos to AMC for renewing it for a second season!

I'm delighted to hear this show will be back. The strike-shortened season left the story arc incomplete.

I'm a little surprised to read that BB's ratings were actually better than Mad Men's. I like both shows, and I like Breaking Bad better, but I thought there was more buzz around Mad Men.

I wonder if AMC will keep up the alliteration in its future show titles. ;)

My only complaint is that (and I'm not sure whether to direct it at AMC or Comcast) they didn't make the episodes available On Demand in a timely fashion and dropped the last 2 or 3 episodes altogether. So I tried catching up with the replays on the network, since they were re-airing the season, up until the very same episode where they stopped showing them On Demand during the first run. GAKK!

Great news. Bryan Cranston has been given the role of a lifetime and he gave a better performance each episode. He deserves this. Excellent news.

Breaking Bad is a terrific show that started out slow but ended with a BANG! This is great news.

I watched all of the episodes via Comcast On Demand. I think the problem might have had to do with the region you were in. Sometimes my On Demand doesn't update when it is supposed to while it does for others. It happened with Dexter and The Wire a lot last fall.
