Following the other networks' announcements of their upcoming spring schedules, ABC has finally unveiled its plans for the post-strike return of its shows.

Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy return April 24, with each series airing five new episodes. To round out the Thursday-night knockout punch, execs are (as Ausiello first reported) placing Lost in its 10 pm/ET slot for at least five new episodes.

Desperate Housewives returns April 13 with five original episodes and a two-hour finale planned. DH's Sunday-night partner Brothers & Sisters won't be back until the following Sunday and will only air four new episodes.

Samantha Who? and Boston Legal will return April 7 and April 8, respectively, each with six original episodes airing. Pushing Daisies, Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money will all return next season.

So what does that mean about Lost? We were to get 8 new episodes right off the bat pre-strike. Does this mean we are going to get a total of 13 and then 3 in the Fall?

Explain ABC!!! Or someone help!

There will be 13 (13!) total Lost eps this season; the "leftover" three will get worked in somewhere down the line. - MWM

What about a two-hour finale for Lost?

And what about the fact that they are moving episode 8 of Lost to play with the back 5? Does that mean episode 8 begins airing April 24, or do the final five begin airing April 24, while episode 8 begins airing April 17? Very confusing!

It doesnt appear to be in the cards for Lost to do a 2 hour finale..........it looks like it will be a regular one hour finale, because ABC will not pre-empt Greys Anatomy. If Greys is airing 5 new eps staring April 24, then they will already spill over one extra day past the end of sweeps to air their finale on May 22. (Sweeps and the TV season end on May 21.)
